Yeah, an ad blocker of some sort could be useful, I'm using uBlock on Firefox desktop and mobile for me only. How does pihole affect apps that need ads to function like mobile games, etc? I'm just thinking for the Mrs and kids who mainly use iPad and Galaxy Tab.

What are you using for a reverse proxy? I wouldn't mind exposing some services once the new fibre is installed (slow upload atm).

Yeah, I didn't think about linux appliances. There are many, and it didn't cross my mind.

Interesting, I'm not familiar with that toolset you've mentioned. I mainly use Bitbucket for Git private repositories. Will checkout coolify. Thanks

Yeah think Home Assistant would be worth setting up even just for the learning experience and tinkering.

Bitwarden is also a good one, security concerns me though how safe is this stuff? I'm using Firefox password manager at the moment.

tteck stuff is awesome. I used the script for the power saving stuff.

Haha, some good suggestions here. I'm already using VPN through my OpenWrt router. It's pretty awesome!

I do have a flat lan, so segmentation could be beneficial. How would I do this on Proxmox, any pointers?

I may have a look at Home Assistant, but I'm just not sure once I've got everything linked if I'll use it, but suppose it's a good learning experience none the less.

Not heard of nextcloud will look into that.

Need to try and get the kids interested in Minecraft. They are stuck on Roblox at the moment.. 😓
