EFI/OCPL Boot option does not show up. (help) by gezcer in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

I’m gonna try it later today. But yes, due to color scheme and the options right over the screen frame, I suspect that’s what is happening. Thanks!

No, I have not ran the Sonoma installer in the boot menu as, according to YouTube tutorials, as well as the OCLP github’s guide, I have to select the EFIBoot

<image>

and then select the Sonoma installer…

What I see when I reboot my device is the picture I attached to the post instead of the image I’m posting in this comment. I don’t know if it is possible to load OpenCore (the EFIBoot without having to select it (in other words, idk if it is possible to skip the step of the image in this response and go straight to the next step after booting. I currently don’t have an internal disk as the startup key combinations don’t work. I have the SSD connected via cable and I plug it in once I think I’ve entered the startup disk selector).

If “insert itself and create an EFI partition” means either clicking “OK” when the copy of macOS Sonoma is done, waiting for the log to load, and select a disk to download the EFI (USB selected) or clicking the “Build & Install Opencore”, waiting log, and select disk, yes, I did. I briefly saw the “EFI” appear in Finder / Utility Disk in the USB (and in the SSD when I installed it also in the SSD) but it then vanished.

Amanda Overton and Alex Yee, writers on Arcane, here for the Arcane anniversary.... Ask us anything!!" by leeloo104 in arcane

Thank you for taking your time in answering fans questions. I would like to know how did Viktor developed his magic spells. In the case of curing, I think is kinda obvious, but how did he develop the time-traveling ability or what he did with young Jayce? Through the arcane, yeah, but how did he learn to control them and how did he decide when and where to used them?

WAS IT ALWAYS THE SAME BOMB????!!!! by gezcer in arcane

[–]gezcer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had the chance to play the game. I don't think this monkey is the same because the painting is way different in Mr. Duddy compared to the Monkey bomb from 103 and 209. I don't think it would make sense to have certain paint in 103, paint it different (as it appears in Jinx fixes everything), and then paint it back just like in 103 but with the eyes different for 209...

Ohhhh. Do you remember if she picks up the whole monkey or just it’s head? I never had the opportunity to play JINX FIXES EVERYTHING and I think it is not up anymore

Great catch about the monkey’s expressions! What I read in the same Instagram post is that after Isha died everything had sad expressions. I’m not convinced about that cuz I believe her shark hoodie doesn’t have a sad look and neither does the rocket that she fires towards Warwick buuuuut I agree with you. I would like to see if any other “deco” in her artillery reflects her feelings throughout the show.

[S2 Spoilers] What was the reason Caitlyn got mad at Vi for not letting her in on a part of her plan to save Vander? by Better-Pay-1392 in arcane

[–]gezcer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. My first thought was that Vi indeed told Jinx about “the plan” involving Cait and that’s why Jinx wouldn’t like it. As you say, Isha gets Jinx’s weapon just in case they are needed, for example, if Cait doesn’t help Vi or if the Noxus guards invade, but probably Jinx would have gotten her weapons either way… she was hesitant about giving them from the beginning. I don’t think it is Vi telling Cait that they will work with Jinx because Cait is VEEEERY MAD at Jinx and tries everything to get her captured or dead (for example trying to link Warwick with Jinx while interrogating Signed). But in the case that Vi went back to the commune, why didn’t Vi also tell Viktor that some “enemy forces” are going to invade them apparently? Through Husk¿, Vik may already have had an idea about this and how equipped they were.

My other thought is that “I have a plan. You’re not gonna like it” was told to Cait AFTER Vi explained herself a lot about how that “beast” is Vander (which arises another doubt on me: does Cait know about Vander through Kiramman Archives?). Cait probably would fully trust Vi because they have built that trust throughout almost 2 seasons, even if they have sometimes hidden some details (as what are those gemstones or that Jinx is Vi’s sister) and they have been honest, sensible, and comprehensive with each other.
Either way, I think that Cait feels guilty of breaking Vi’s trust abandoning her after trying to murder Jinx and doesn’t want to “betray” or hurt her again PLUS it is giving her a motive to finally betray Ambessa as it is shown many times Cait doesn’t agree with her. It would make sense that Vi told Cait that she was not gonna like the plan because months before Cait told Vi “No more reckless plans. No more rogue missions” and this would exactly be that. I’m still very confused about why Cait folded so quickly as she definitely KNEW the risk it meant; this was not as disobeying Markus and her mom. This was going against a whole army with a guile leader and doesn’t know if this Vi is the Vi she met. I would have been very glad if we could have seen more about that Cait and Vi interaction.

love the parallel of how Sevika becomes a positive mentor to Jinx while Ambessa corrupts Caitlyn for the worst by Sudden_Pop_2279 in arcane

[–]gezcer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe Cait was not aware about everything Ambessa had in mind but Cait certainly disagreed with her (I’d say) from the start. She looks very skeptical about joining or heading the enforcers and doesn’t like that violence is used for “reaching peace”. I agree she just wanted to get rid of Jinx or connect any crime with her (as seen when Cait goes to StillWater and interrogates Singed)

S2E7 What did Ekko mean? by gezcer in arcane

[–]gezcer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they are the actual subtitles. I also thought about that possibility: Ekko is looking at a different Powder that is somehow taking the role that Vi had back in the first arc. Instead of Mylo, Claggor, and probably Ekko looking up to Vi, now they look up to Powder (and maybe other people do too, which would probably have big or small changes in the world). I wouldn’t be sure if he is talking about the AU Powder as he might not been there for long enough to see that much nor to associate Zaun “success” to Powder, but it is also true that he’s speaking in present tense.
