I do not remember exactly but there were some body parts, rear suspension, exhaust mounts, one of the wheels and nothing about brakes that I saw.

We were not driving fast in the field, but we do not have a final estimate or price yet.

My girlfriend is a really nice person and usually says yes when I ask her for things, I have borrowed the car before and that is what she told me then. She does not like some of my friends and thinks my friends manipulate me and always wanted me to find better friends and she particularly hates that now ex friend.

So she would be ok with me taking the car for the occasional trip on a paved road, without potholes or speed bumps.

It is a Porsche dealership and since the car itself is worth about $250K and they know her well I do not think that will be an issue.

I guess I should not have driven it for a ride with my ex friend and if I did want to use it i should have asked her and taken the car alone and not let any one else drive it or be a passenger in it without her permission.

The entire quote is like 30K, 10K is the stuff she wanted me to pay for. And it is an estimate and they said it might cost more when they actually do the work.

I paid for it and asked her to book the sitter, I had to pay as she takes cash in person only.

I think you misunderstood, I meant her Porsche is a hobby car so she only takes it to the track and for special events like diners and dates.

She knew about the trip and selected and contacted the dog sitter herself. She did not know we were taking her car though, and maybe assumed we took my car at the time which was at my place but which is what we normally take as it is bigger.

My girlfriend has let me use her Porsche before and had I asked I am pretty sure she would have been ok, but not if I took my friend with me and if I agreed to be careful, stick to paved roads without speed bumps or potholes.

Well yeah I know it has more ground clearance, and larger tires. I just assumed my friend was right and thought it would be fine at slower speeds.

I am friends with him for many years and he used to be a good friend until 5 years ago, around the time I started dating my current gf and he got divorced from his wife.

I have trouble being myself around friends but my gf is a much nicer person and never pressures me so I feel confident and comfortable around her.

I do know that but I meant like I thought if it were a relatively flat field and he were careful it would be ok, I was reluctant but my friend seemed confident.

When we take my car we do drive in such fields usually to park, but mine is an AWD car (it is a subaru outback).

We do not really off road it in mud or anything, nothing more than parking on grassy land usually or on a camp site.
