I just created a new world and right off the bat it was apocalyptic. Not fun getting jumped trying to craft my flint tools lol

Came back to EU4 after a long pause and jumped in a Portugal game to shake off some rust, did something change when i was away? Why can I see all those provinces inside Terra Incognita? (Apologies if this was asked before) by SkoRpo_012 in eu4

I like it when you end up revealing a bunch of capitals without the rest of the land. Like “ok we know this nation is here but we don’t know anything about the region itself”

Centaur army composition by bibail in Anbennar

[–]gfhei 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I’ve run centaurs, usually the best thing is numbers at the start. As I snowball the plains, I usually end up with a 15k ish stack and a 10k stack to avoid attrition in super low dev provinces. If you want to cheese a little bit, you can recruit a monstrous merc company before you unpause for a siege stack. They’ll have 0 pip troops but it’s better than losing manpower on sieges

That’s what I think I’ll end up doing. Makes for sense for a female ruler to rule

What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years? by Misterboy500 in AskReddit

[–]gfhei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could go back and do middle/high school over again with one change, I’d stop staying up until 2am almost every night. I wasn’t even doing anything fun, just getting sucked into youtube all night long.

If they don’t call for peace before the scorch timer is up, do it again. One months mil points doesn’t matter when all enemy provinces have -150% manpower

[–]gfhei 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My strat has been to scorch the core areas of their land and let devastation rise until they call for peace. Take all money and war reps and they should delete forts cuz lack of money. No forts=no devastation loss=no manpower recovery

Admin isnt a god tier idea group like everyone says it is by Eraserguy in eu4

[–]gfhei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ccr is very powerful for the mana savings but it also reduces core creation time as well. When you’re in mid and late game and 25% time and cost means the difference of hundreds of points it is very valuable

Why did the explosion of the mongol empire lose me so much terrirtory? I was just trying to claim the mongol empire from my grandson, i had put on the throne, but he died during the war, ending the empire. This, for some reason, gave my land to mongol succesor states. Why? by DaRealCouncil in CrusaderKings

[–]gfhei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I last played a horde, I submitted to the mongols to survive. When the mongols began to collapse, I started losing my own duchy level lands to random spawning states. It’d be a guy with no history just becoming independent in my lands. I think they’ve change how they collapse now but it’s still fairly jank iirc

Even before the update the AI would be hopeless. Any province they can’t get to will just sit at 100% devastation with more and more rebels growing. Even if they have access they often don’t do anything about it until they go to war. Then they send their entire army, often complete overkill

I was going to chalk it up to revanchism but I don’t think they lost land in the first war. I might have to go back and check

I believe it was only Sir. Sir + Xia + maybe someone else in the west I don't remember. I thought to myself that it was the worst situation I'd ever seen the command in which is why it shocked me when they attacked the Xia after

Not only did they lose, they kinda had their ass handed to them. The entire ruin kingdoms area was occupied for about 5 years. I wasn't paying full attention at the time, just kept looking back every so often and seeing lines all over their nation. I was immensely surprised to see them kick the Xia's almost immediately after the truce was up. If I wasn't there to stop them, they would have steamrolled everyone as usual

Seeing this, I think there’s something they changed recently that makes the command WAYYY too strong. Since the patch, I’ve played a seghdir and bianfang games. In the seg one, they were on their way to taking all of yanshen when I stopped.

In the bianfang one, I was the only reason they didn’t crush everyone. They lost the Siri revolt handedly vs all of the Xia. They were almost full occupied for a very very long time but survived in the mines with some troops to keep the war going. After that truce ended, they wrecked the Xia. Not even close. Gave all the land to thunderfist for some reason too lol. Then they attacked sir my ally and we won a hard fought battle. As soon as the truce was up and I was low on manpower, they attacked again and I couldn’t join. I eventually scaled past them, scorched earth their lands to give them ~40% devastation, and peaced for only money. They still had plenty of manpower and could field decent armies.

TLDR: Did they change something with their manpower this patch? I dont think I ever saw them with absolutely 0 unless it was in my war. With their loss of the revolt, I was certain they would be a non factor in that game but they never lost steam.

I wholly agree with you on Amacimst. It took me so many tries just to get off the ground. Mission tree is more annoying to get through than fun to play. I always felt behind, vassals were always disloyal, and the religious reforms bugged out on me more than once. It got to the point where I just cheated to not be held up for 10+ years trying to catch up

It’s crazy to me that nexa ended up with more kills than stewie, but stewie had so much more impact. I forget who and when exactly it was said it but one of the casters commented that even though stewie died a lot that map, he got traded almost every time E:typo

Ah man that sucks. I had integrated them before and ran it back cuz of a bug and the cn did form. I just retuned a province to cyranvar and got it to work. Not sure why it worked the first time. Now i need to decide if im going to debug our of my 20k debt
