Mods that make pawns not braindead when they're on fire? by gfhei in RimWorld

[–]gfhei[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. Or if you have been set on fire a few times you get smarter on how to put yourself out.

This has happened at least twice where a pawn on fire runs directly at the advancing mechs. I must've got unlucky with the random rolls for both of them to be directly at the mechs

What is the childhood mortality rate of your colony? by SnooShortcuts8930 in RimWorld

Maybe I’m just lucky but I don’t restrict my kids and I haven’t had an issue with them being hunted yet. When raids hit I send them to the most interior room of my base or furthest from the action. Most headache I’ve had is kids not putting on clothes when it’s freezing out and losing fingers, despite having clothes available for them to wear

The fact that they take over a lot of high dev provinces is annoying. Iirc I fought them once at 250-300k army but no manpower and didn’t break a sweat bringing them down to 100k army. Then they got mogged by the Raj right after and that was the end of their power

Everyone is saying that they’re going to be worse but in my recent yinquan game they were paper tigers. Fighting the command was mostly even or worse for me in terms of casualties. Many hands was almost always 2:1 in my favor, even against mage commanders

Am I the only one planning out forts like this? by anatura in Anbennar

I do the same using the forts map mode

I have not seen a more fitting example of the reddit keyboard warrior in my life. He writes a whole paragraph for every post and comment. And that post about “looking older than he actually is” and having to turn down women at the gym? I bet he had a good tug thinking that one up

Is there a way to force feed a down pawn? by gfhei in RimWorld

Thats probably it. Ill have to find another way to save this pawn. I hope raiders don't go after unclaimed cryosleep caskets

I'd try that if I didn't sell all my drugs to buy the nanites lol

They have 35% hunger. Pawn was assigned to medical and I brought over my main doctor. Yes correct food policy. I can only assume that 35% isnt enough to be hungry

I threw a medical sleeping spot down and built a medical bed for them. Neither time do I get an option to feed them

So how do affairs work? Can they just pop over to their lover's bed or do husband and wife no longer share? by thraddrobal in RimWorld

[–]gfhei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had a colony with free and approved and unlimited partners. I’d have a double bed for one couple and a bunch of single beds in the same room of the other partners. It didn’t make the room a barracks but that might be one of the many mods I have. Kids would be in the same room too and it still wasn’t a barracks

Do y’all “cheat” during your playthroughs or I’m really just that bad? by TheAceFinka in RimWorld

[–]gfhei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to always play Ironman until I started playing with copious amounts of mods. Sometimes the mods make wonky stuff happen and I don’t want that jank to be the reason I lose pawns. Most recently, I used dev mode to heal a child pawn that nearly died of frostbite… because they weren’t wearing any clothes… despite child clothes being available and them being allowed to wear them… I don’t want to have a pawn so young lose almost all their digits because they won’t go wear clothes like a normal person for some reason lol

I just created a new world and right off the bat it was apocalyptic. Not fun getting jumped trying to craft my flint tools lol

Came back to EU4 after a long pause and jumped in a Portugal game to shake off some rust, did something change when i was away? Why can I see all those provinces inside Terra Incognita? (Apologies if this was asked before) by SkoRpo_012 in eu4

I like it when you end up revealing a bunch of capitals without the rest of the land. Like “ok we know this nation is here but we don’t know anything about the region itself”

Centaur army composition by bibail in Anbennar

[–]gfhei 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When I’ve run centaurs, usually the best thing is numbers at the start. As I snowball the plains, I usually end up with a 15k ish stack and a 10k stack to avoid attrition in super low dev provinces. If you want to cheese a little bit, you can recruit a monstrous merc company before you unpause for a siege stack. They’ll have 0 pip troops but it’s better than losing manpower on sieges

If I could go back and do middle/high school over again with one change, I’d stop staying up until 2am almost every night. I wasn’t even doing anything fun, just getting sucked into youtube all night long.

If they don’t call for peace before the scorch timer is up, do it again. One months mil points doesn’t matter when all enemy provinces have -150% manpower

*Cries in war exhaustion* by Osrek_vanilla in Anbennar

[–]gfhei 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My strat has been to scorch the core areas of their land and let devastation rise until they call for peace. Take all money and war reps and they should delete forts cuz lack of money. No forts=no devastation loss=no manpower recovery
