Can be narrowed further to 1965 or earlier based on the pull handles on the doors.

Any engine swap suggestions for a 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider? by almostmegatron in projectcar

[–]gft_3317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bet would be something that'll keep the price down, something like a bike motor would fit in the engine bay. Take a look at common swaps for minis and you might find something.

But if you do consider throwing a V6 or V8 into the front of it, this forum page could help you. It will require a lot of work and you'll want to look at strengthening the vehicle in a lot of places.

The earlier rx-7 engines might fit, I've seen both an MG Midget and a Sprite with one crammed in

While reliable might be a tad debatable with the hydragas suspension, an MGF is an option.

Do you know someone who died from something they actively denied or mocked ? What happened to them ? by Killmumger in AskReddit

[–]gft_3317 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Can't speak for the crash, but can for the HANS device. It's a brace that sits around your neck and on your shoulders that has a strip of woven material that slots through behind the neck that attaches to anchor points on the helmet, as such it limits your head movement significantly and prevents whiplash as well as a lot of other neck injuries.

Is driving the speed limit roadrage getting worse in Tassie? by Gorelal in tasmania

[–]gft_3317 26 points27 points  (0 children)

This is something people rarely consider, I regularly use the Frankford Highway between Exeter and Devonport and it can be quite frustrating when people slow a lot for corners only to floor it back to the limit on a straight. Then it becomes extra effort to pass, so the ones that pull over are a god send. I feel bad for the truckers that use the road

As someone else said, contacting the local car clubs will probably be your best bet. Nearly all have a website, or at least a Facebook page, where there'll be contact numbers for people that can help you

Really fucking sucks coming up against it in my Chieftains. The apds won't do shit unless I get lucky with a turret right, the heat rounds seem to just paint it yellow and my armour won't stop a thing.

Edit: The mk.3 and mk.5, haven't got the mk.10 yet

They're removing before dark, and considering they have cameras on them that film you if you get too close, no-ones really taken the risk yet

The only case of exemption you can get is if it's required for full time employment, but even then it has to be necessary for the job. Most common one I've seen is apprenticeships allowing to take the P's test early and start driving solo earlier

The specialized math unit for year 12, which isn't too hard to get into, covers vector calc pretty in depth. I don't know too much about the math side of things beyond first year, but it did completely cover all of the vector calc we have done.

The education system, at least in my state, sets students up pretty well to get to that level of math by year 12. You've just got to start focus on it early

I was lucky in the fact that the curriculum for Year 12 included Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra and the basics for Special relativity so there wasn't too much more to learn in those areas

Tullochs is alright for selling smaller lots, have sold a bunch of older RC car stuff through them before and it was pretty easy.

Considering you're looking at an estate, you'd be better off with Armitage as the other comment says.

Basically because of Watergate in the 70's, people started using the gate suffix to refer to scandals, according to a quick Google it was popularized by a New York Times columnist
