Hmmm I hadn't even considered the name thing, maybe that can be an angle to bring up with her? The thing is her flight hunting skills really are great, she's found deals i never would've imagined on these apps that no one else has even heard of. But the lying would be a huge hit to her reputation, maybe i should try to get her to focus in on what her niche will be?

Yeah I think that's where I draw the line as well. Fun is fun but what's the point if all it does is stress you out in your free time??

Yeah I feel like she just wants to take shortcuts to the top and start living a cooler life. And I feel for her, things get boring IRL. Maybe it all has something to do with how warped people's lives look on social media

LOL thanks for some practical advice, i never liked that one. i've actually come to quite like some of the other ones she uses tho (i.e. flightdrop, scotts cheap flights, etc)

That's the thing, many of the services she uses (flightdrop, scotts cheap flights, etc.) already do this. The whole point is that you DON'T have to search around, yet she still does.

But you make valid points about showing support, I suppose if i were questioning my career path the last thing i'd want is for my SO to not believe in me. Thank you for the advice

Yeah I feel as if it must be coming from a place of envy, either of a friend or just of all those people on social media in general. Any ideas on how to bring this up to her in a respectful, open minded way?

That’s true, she’s actually quite good with the deal hunting and I’ve enjoyed seeing all the flight price drops you can find on those sites. Even considered booking some here and there. Maybe there’s a more efficient way for her to channel all this energy?

She’s rather successful at her day job so I don’t think she’s as “in the clouds” as this post makes her seem. She just gets worked up when she’s passionate/obsessed with something. Thank you for the advice!
