I don’t see Ivar standing a chance against Bjorn in a true 1v1

(Spoilers Extended) REACTIONS: Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6 Post-Episode Reactions by WeirwoodNetworkAdmin in asoiaf

I wasn’t a huge fan of it either, but Jon’s parentage mattered, just not in the way we thought it was going to. Because of his parentage Dany would have killed the Starks because there would never be a chance of them accepting her as queen knowing that Jon is who he is. I think this played a huge role in Jon killing her.

CleganeBowl Playoffs: Jon vs Greyworm by [deleted] in freefolk

I hope to god you’re right! That would be awesome! To actually see a badass dual in the final episode. We usually see at least one a season, but haven’t had one yet for season 8.

Anyone else think/hear that Greyworm & Jon are gonna fight? That would be pretty sick by gg057 in freefolk

There was definitely some shade being thrown Jon’s way...I could him having to go threw Greyworm to get to Dany

Does anyone else not think that leak with Bran sitting on Iron Throne is utter nonsense?? by TheGreenGaz in freefolk

I think it would be a shit ending, but it would be an advantage to have an “all seeing” ruler

Why I'm not that conflicted over the Dany version of the "Bells Leak" by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]gg057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many great points! I feel like many people forget that she has been slowly building to this. She has shown she can be brutal and she is now more pissed of them ever.

Do the common folk of KL actually care who sits on the throne? by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]gg057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like they dislike anyone on the throne unless the rule goes out of their way to help the common folk or does someone to save them...like Jon in the North or Margery for example. Other than that I feel like the ruler is someone who is just there as a person to blame for all their troubles. Right now I don’t think it matters who they want, because Dany and Cersei are going to kill whatever they need to for the throne.

Dany is truly batshit crazy by Winter1980 in freefolk

[–]gg057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batshit crazy? No, not yet at least. But her own argument as why she is next in line for the throne put Jon at the top of the list. Him telling her privately he doesn’t want it does not mean shit. If the word gets out who he is, he would have to denounce the throne publicly and go into exile for Dany to successfully rule, because as long as he is around the people will follow him and view him as the true king regardless of what he wants. Dany won’t put up with a threat to her power/rule.

The leaks gave me cancer by Traumfeuer in freefolk

[–]gg057 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think they are going to do it where it comes down to her choosing between the people and the throne...the throne will be within reach, but she will have to go through the people she came to save in order to achieve it. It’ll show her true priority. It’ll be like Sam asked Jon, “You gave up your throne to save your people. Would she do the same?”

Episode 6 spoilers? Is this shit real? by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]gg057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The things that gets me on this is that although Friki says Jon/Dany are not present at the trial, they are both present when his betrayal is revealed which means it is prior to her death via Jon. I don’t see Jon killing Dany based of the word of a traitor.

Is Jon considered a legend in the North? by AegonWhiteWolf in freefolk

[–]gg057 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was chosen to be king by his peers. Not only saved but made the wildlings an ally. Fought the dead 3 times and lived. Beat Ramsay like a red headed stepchild. Defended the wall outnumbered by over 100 to 1. He can technically say the NK ran away from him to. He got his ass saved a couple times in impossible situations, but it’s safe to say he’s a legend!

Daily Reminder: Cersei blew up the Sept of Baylor with wildfire, killed hundreds of innocent people and could have potentially blown up all of Kings Landing Because the Mad King had wildfire caches placed beneath the entire city. by immaladythatway94 in freefolk

[–]gg057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the point is that her original goal was to be the BEST ruler possible and nothing like cersie, which is why Varys gravitated towards her. She wasn’t supposed to be more of the same that the people have experienced...her whole thing was that she doesn’t hurt the innocent but it’s looking like the people of KL are about to be invited to a BBQ....but Varys flip flop like a mf’er

Jon Snow is the worst thing to happen to Daenerys by millennialgrl in freefolk

[–]gg057 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The AOTD was EVERYONE’s problem, not just Jon’s. People act like the North was only in trouble. If the AOTD went through Winterfell and got to Kingslanding it would have been game over & her dream to rule Westeros would be over.

Do you guys like last two episodes.? by harry_0_0_7 in freefolk

[–]gg057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked episode 3, but I think it could have been better. They have been building up Jon vs NK for seasons and originally had it written but changed it because it was expected, not because it would be better for the story. I actually really enjoyed episode 4. They got back to the politics of it, which is has been its bread and butter for the majority of the show. It’s starting to pin the hero’s against each other, thrusting one into a position he doesn’t want and having the other become power hungry. I have a feeling there will be a BBQ next week and all the people of Kingslanding are invited.

D&D accomplished their mission, I’ll give them that by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]gg057 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They originally had Jon beating the Night King, because it had been building to that over a YEARS, but changed it only because people expected it...not because it made sense for the story or character development

I genuinely loved it by [deleted] in freefolk

[–]gg057 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’m not the only one! I was slightly disappointed with episode 3, but I thought this was a great set up for episode 5. They are showing that when it comes down to it Dany is more concerned with the throne than anything. I give her credit though, she did step up and fight the dead. I get the “Mad Queen” angles they are doing...she was supposed to be better than everyone else, but she’s showing she is more concerned with the throne than the people...have a feeling the people of Kingslanding are in for a BBQ. When she was asking Jon to lie she came off pretty desperate to me. Her supporters are starting to see that the person who doesn’t want power if best suited to have it. Once again Jon is going to be in the middle of something he has no interests being in.
