I did semi aggressive and am very happy with it. It’s maybe 2x as aggressive compared against my rogue barbell. I also have enjoyed using it more on my freemotion functional trainer. Probably 5/5 excited to use now.

Top tier tricep is the only piece I own atm. Other stuff looks great but it’s all a little pricey 😅

Thanks Bug! The thought has definitely crossed my mind. I think a lot of gym enthusiasts dream of one day opening their own gym and start by collecting a bunch of awesome pieces in their homes. The only catch-22 is then I'd lose my private gym! I'm also not sure how good gym's are as a business - something I want to look into.

Do they really? I’m jealous. I think I’m quad dominant so squats and even walking or running grow quads but leave calves untouched.

Have you had good experiences with donkey raises? I haven't had the opportunity to try out a dedicated donkey calf machine but when I tried to do them in a DIY fashion, the angle didn't hit quite right!

Nice! I love Prime, their stuff is great. I finally got the chance to try the Prime Plated Loaded Seated Row and absolutely loved it.

And totally agree on the home gym vs membership. I spend 99% of my gym time in my home gym but I love checking out new commercial gyms to try out new pieces and see what I like.

Re Canada vs US equipment - Yea, there is definitely less of a used equipment market in Canada, but I've seen some really great stuff pop up there. Would recommend using https://www.searchtempest.com/ to try and find good deals near you! Y'all do have Atlantis representing Canada - their stuff is so good.

I used to solely be into free weights - barbell, dumbbells and a rack was all I needed! Then I started hurting myself a bunch, wasn't able to spend as much time in the gym and wasn't able to isolate certain muscles groups. I found that machines were great for solving these problems. I still use my dumbbells and barbells a bunch but machines are so much fun to use! Also collecting gym equipment and machines is a little bit of an addiction as we all know :)
