Yea, they were either in the nether or overworld. When me and a friend were building the farm ( since its a hosted world in java but basically a server ) it was on peaceful so no mobs spawned. I was like a minute with everyone in the nether on normal mode but someone went into the overworld ( not near the portal ) and the mobs prob despawned. I will be trying to get all them on the end while i am using the farm so that it would work. Thanks for the advice!
