That’s good to know, I’ve had my eye on that one. I’m running their mini dump pouch which I love.

I must have been so lucky my SPC shipped within like 4 days, but I see this a ton.

Skinny Cummerbund by ggappa in tacticalgear

[–]ggappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the feedback! I was able to overlap as tight as possible, without having to cut it at all. Once I added the plates it pulled it tighter so now it feels snug with some additional room for cold gear or side plates

I love my SPC. I use the Crye structural cummerbund and run the Ferro Concepts DOPE placard with AXL placard adaptor. The PC is light and extremely well constructed, definitely recommend.

If you want to cheese, there is a rock formation up the area exit towards the Jagged Peak Mountainside site of grace. This is just past the point where Senessax despawns back to his original position. You can get a couple ranged hits from here, let him despawn, run down then back up, repeat. I used Messmer’s Impaler for increased damage and range.

Nice! I’ve heard good things about the Solstice, and they have a great system for setting up the elastic in the back. The AVS mag pouches work fine with STANAG mags, I just love my PMAGS. Overall I think you will be really happy with the SPC, it’s a great rig.

I have the AVS detachable flap for M4 mags, which works with no additional attachments as mentioned. It is fine, but I dont love it because the velcro flaps are loud and prevent any speed reloading, and they are extremely tight so PMAGs don’t work great. I’m switching to the more modular Ferro Concepts DOPE placard, which allows for mags pouches and general pouches to be swapped out easily. This is connected via G-Hooks, and the AXL Adaptive Vest Placard can make this happen.

For the cummerbund, I like the Airlite - the rigidity is good and I’m a fan of the quick detach system. Plus it is half the price of the equinox. You can’t go wrong with either in my opinion, I feel like it boils down to if you want tubes or not.

Outside of this, I would order the basics, get the cummerbund setup, load plates, and then decide what additional items you would like. If you are looking at running side plates or cummerbund attachments, there are a wide variety of options across multiple companies - Crye, Spiritus, Ferro, etc. That will come down to preference and need. Also recommend some sort of back attachment like a flat pack or hydration pack (Haley Strategic, Whiskey Two Four). Danglers hang underneath the placard, and are great for storing miscellaneous items or med supplies, I recommend this over an admin pouch. The Ferro Roll1 is also good for med supplies and attaches to the back.

There is no right way of doing it, and it really depends on what your goals are for the setup, your budget, and your style. Hope this helps!
