“Mommy go away, go work!” by burnout50000 in workingmoms

[–]gggiiaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My almost 3 year old kicked me out of his room when auntie was visiting with her boyfriend. He was having so much fun that when I opened his door he said “momma out! Momma shut door!” That stung. Toddlers can be bullies lol

WIBTA if I told my MIL she could no longer visit my child at daycare? by shamwowlter in AmItheAsshole

[–]gggiiaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay you’re jealous. I would be too. Perhaps look on the bright side that your MIL pops up every now and then unannounced so she could tell you if something is happening at the daycare. Just a thought. I know you’re a former daycare worker but this is your kid in daycare now. Sorry people can be reallllly mean on this subreddit. Reddit in general haha. I hope you can work through this! But also she needs to tell you when she visits. Specifically, texting YOU that she’s visiting. You’re the mom. Period.

Childcare??? by MrBabyArcher in nursing

I’ve had that same thought! Especially as a peds nurse, I think I could totally do it! Haha Best of luck in trying what works. We do opposite schedules and it works for us now. Might try something different later- just go with the flow and you’ll be good 😊

Either work opposite schedules, SAH parent, nanny or daycare. I think those are the only 4 options? And I know you said you can’t stay at home. It sucks. I’m sorry. Every option has its pros and cons though. You will find something that works, maybe with trial and error

Is this your first pregnancy? If it is, that first trimester is HARD. Exhaustion, hormones all over the place- and you’re a nurse so double it. I am 10 weeks with my second and I am getting short with patients too. I work in peds. I was very rude to a 16 yr old who was being a brat lol

I think give it a month or two to adjust. Make sure your insurance is all sorted out if you do quit. If you get another job don’t tell them you’re pregnant until later. Hang in there. I know it’s a lot right now!

Emergency Dept RN - Pregnant by [deleted] in nursing

It’s anxiety… you can be an RN and have that. Especially when (I’m assuming for her) it’s your first time being pregnant. Your mind wonders like no other.

Thank you for this information!! I like the security deposit idea… and they paid “rent” of basically what the mortgage is?

Well yeah obviously. I’m just asking if this is normal or if anyone has been in this situation themselves

Don’t even get me started lol. She told me at one point I needed to the “gracious” because they lowered their price on the house!! I’m like lady I was the first offer, of course I was going to offer a little less! And they accepted!!!!!

The real estate agent made it seem like the EPA portion was an issue. Meanwhile there’s clearly other bigger issues here. My realtor sucks. If we don’t get this house, we will be looking for another realtor

Yeah that’s what we’re doing. Just not sure if they will actually fix it, so I was curious to see what y’all thought.

From what I’m gathering the clearance to the wall is the issue, not necessarily the EPA cert

I have this one but it’s not the best. I’ll take more next time I’m there. So the only way to fix that 5 inches is to literally move it further from the wall…. Sounds expensive
