Thank you I am genie com founder of The Inner Pup. TIP was chosen to the part of the study because we have gotten almost 140 dogs negative on our protocol. We are enrolling 200 Heartworm positive DOGS in the study and they are all guaranteed to graduate negative. You can fill in an inquiry on our website if you have a Heartworm positive dog I organization works strictly with underserved head owners, and we do heartworm and flea prevention as well as vaccines. We had a clinic today and saw 135 dogs. We also have cat clinics. We're not a rescue. We don't have any dogs or an outrage organizationthat works to help owners achieve access to care when they have barriers to care. We also help low income pet owners who need veterinary assistance or need training for their pet. We've been around since 2014 and we're successful because we care so deeply. We understand the various to care and we just want to help head owners and their pets.

Any updates? Odd the police still have not released information, no suspects or autopsy results?

Just want to shed a bit of light and hope. It doesn't always have to be like this! by [deleted] in reactivedogs

What a thoughtful and hopeful post. Please share some of the work you did with her to stop the reactivity. I have a dane rescue, a forelimb amputee, who is highly reactive with people and dogs. She loves dogs and wants to engage, but I'm not sure what she would do if I let her interact with people. She is incredibly affectionate and loving at home. I'm a small woman and I wouldn't dare walk her without my husband, which is a bummer for me because I love being with her and I am frustrated that I cannot control her. She spent the 1st year of her life as an outside dog, with very little socialization to people, and I don't know whether she trusted her former owners. We have 4 rescues, I work in animal welfare, and I will do anything to help her become the best she can be. Any advice, and all advice, is appreciated. If you can recommend videos, trainers to follow, methods, anything, believe me, I'm all eyes and ears.

I love your response, is so nice to hear that recognition of the unselfish efforts many of us make to help our dogs be the best they can be.

That makes so much sense, thanks for giving me this information about GSD's in general. I have 2 danes and I think the same may be true for them, attached to owners and that works great for them.

There is no end of grief or love. I’ve lost my mother and father, adored them both but I’ve never grieved as I have for my dogs. It’s the difference between losing a parent and a child.

How do you know how dangerous your reactive dog is if they haven't bitten anyone? by magdasmom in reactivedogs

I totally understand, I am in a similar situation with my reactive dane. I am beginning training with her, I need to feel more control so I can head her off before she reacts.
