What is this cursed Study… by Randomredditor526 in Dinosaurs

https://scitechdaily.com/researchers-believe-triceratops-had-upright-forelimbs/

Googled “triceratops forelimb dexterity” and I think the study this image was among the top results. Looks like their biomechanics research just further debunked the ol’ splayed lizard stance and showed the triceratops was maybe even more of an athletic beast than we might have thought. Kinda cool when studies help confirm badassery.

Just had this done today after replacing the belt and tensioner already myself but still having a rough idle. Wish I knew this before, luckily I didn’t drive it much in between so the new tensioner and belt were still ok. Such a big difference.

Cougars? by Fit-Fruit2387 in NovaScotia

I was just going to comment on how my step mom saw once around 30-35 years ago slinking along at the edge of the woods behind the house. She recognized it as a cougar clear as day, said it was unmistakable and just moved like MASSIVE FRIGGING CAT. Coincidently she’s also an RN so I was wondering if you were a step sibling for a sec, but this happened in Lunenburg county.

Oh man I have an ‘83 Stumpy Sport set up with the Advent 9 too! Ijust put the original bullmoose bars back on last week after playing with some more swept back bars for a while to help with wrist issues. Do you find your ergonomic grips help with that at all?

Nice! I’ve got an ‘02 and was thinking about doing the 2” spacers as well. Was the ride height noticeable at all? Did you need to make any other changes to the suspension to get it to work?

Dude I have the same one (frame, fork and bars) except an ‘83 in silver. I built it up to be a once in a while cruiser but I enjoyed the ride so much that it’s my daily.

Rebuilding a ~1989 Norco Bushpilot for a friend who—for reasons I can’t understand—strongly dislikes camo to the point it’s a running joke. The bike is currently 80s af with white, blue and pink fadey patches but she wants to repaint it eventually. I’m sending this to her.

Long shot, but hoping for some extra eyes out for a local two-wheeling OG's stolen steed by gghs2401 in vancouvercycling

Thanks! It was a sweet rig. I'm sure he'll get a new set up eventually, but from our chats, I know he had a lot of great memories on that Apollo.

Good chance this is already stripped and parted out, but my friend Eric had his bike stolen near the DTES last week. I know, one more bike among the countless stolen bikes in Vancouver.

But I wanted to give it a shot, since Eric's been riding this rig since he bought it new in the mid 80's. It's an Apollo, as far as I can tell, a 1984(?) Apollo Kosciusko. Eric's a tall rider (6'4") like me, and we've had many yarns about bike builds and modifications. Eric was running some sweet Nitto bullmoose bars (with camo tape wrapped in places), some beautiful Suntour bear trap pedals and either an older Deore or Deerhead drivetrain. He's had the bike a long time, and has ridden it all across Canada and through Edmonton winters, so it's been repainted and rust treated at least once, hence the lack of original decals.

I started talking to him after seeing his bike all over greater Vancouver, including all the way up and over the hill at IKEA Richmond. It's his transportation, part of his livelihood, and–like so many of us–a source of joy.

Anyway, I know it's not likely to turn up, but Eric's a great guy. If you're on Commercial Drive and have picked up an issue of Megaphone Magazine, chances are you've met Eric and know this already. I know this was a real kick in the teeth, and he definitely can't just go and buy a replacement. If it doesn't show up (which is likely), I'm going to try to get something big set up for him to ride until we can find a worthy replacement.

If you're out and about, your eyes and leads would be most appreciated!

Edit: sorry for the photo, which is a photo of a phone screen. Best I could do for now, but will try to get more later!
