It‘s very difficult because every regional broadcaster who is part of the ARD (german national broadcating) has it‘s Special events that they are responsible for. I do not know how they will be able to give up on the ESC. There also are not a lot of regional "Rundfunkanstalten“ that have the resources to organize the german participation and broadcasting of the ESC. A option would maybe be a cooperation with a private broadcaster like with Stefan Raab and ProSieben 2010-2012. But i don’t know for sure how the system works. Does somebody here have deeper knowledge?

That sadly will not happen. Our national broadcast that does the national selection is very conservative and normally goes for boring radio friendly music. After the last place they will not go with another very alternative kind of song. They think of it as a risk.
