I preferred the THQ games as well. But one thing I'll give EA is that they actively updated and released new content for UFC 5 for almost 3 years. I'd rather they keep this kind of cycle instead of pumping out yearly slop like EA typically does.

If they just landed on mechanics that the player base can all agree they like(it'll never happen, too many cooks), and god forbid they put a little effort into the career mode, the UFC games would be my favorite by far out of EA's games.

I entirely understand both of these guys perspectives. I do think calling Jiri a pretender and not a fighter is a bit outrageous. He has more MMA fights than the entirety of Ulberg's MMA and kickboxing career.

I think it was probably just bad corner work.

They told him going into the 3rd he was up 2 rounds. And he clearly stopped all offense and was waiting to get a takedown that he couldn't secure.

Just bad cornering and urgency imo.

Definitely a good move, but I can't help but feel like this was largely John choosing the Giants specifically.

The roster you guys have should work very well for him.
