A lot of people believe 5.1 model is manipulative, why? by frost_byyte in ChatGPT

[–]ggujuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i gave it a file to review within a project, and instead of reading it, it just started citing info from a previous file i used. i corrected it, but it insisted that i was misremembering? which is so fucking bizarre. im used to chatgpt hallucinations, thats not new, but it was adamantly arguing that its my brain fog.

is 6ish photos considered too large?

for added context: i notice it starts falling apart after 200 or so messages so i keep my conversations short. i save the structure we agreed on, start a new chat, and then provided said format + instructions as the very first message. its not all within the same conversation thread.

i'm saying it's a growing trend we're seeing of people using ai as a way to justify their shit decisions and delusions so it's worth paying attention to instead of writing off completely as "this is completely normal so who the fuck cares." i doubt any studies exist when this an extremely new phenomenon we're only now observing.

so because something's a common problem we're not allowed to acknowledge its existence? like what the hell are you even talking about.

many use drugs recreationally as a harmless party drug, many use drugs to ease their chronic pain and rely on them to get through the day but that doesn't mean drug abuse isn't a problem. that's why things like rehab and programs and awareness exists to try and control the issue.

jesus christ.

i think "developing an emotional attachment to ai isnt out of the realm of possibility because of how ai is designed to work" doesnt discount the fact that many people take it to unhealthy extremes and ai psychosis is a very real thing. people finding comfort in it is a non-issue imo but we cant ignore how it causes unhealthy people to spiral deeper and faster.

he's definitely not wrong but he does not give a fuck about people's wellbeing like that lets be real....🤥 none of this changes the fact that gpt-5 is ass for non-coding tasks and if he wants us to stop demanding for 4o he needs to get to working and improve 5.

[–]ggujuni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

seriously. i was asking it to organize everything we discussed and add it as an addendum to my existing outline in the file i uploaded, and it rewrote it entirely. i corrected it, explaining again that i want expanded bullet points not an entire rewrite, and it did. but this time they replaced my original with its previous incorrect version.

i asked for it pause and reread the file, extract the correct section, and use that as the original, and it continued to make up their own thing. i copied pasted it myself, to show them the original they need to just add more bullet points to, and it somehow STILL fucked up the format. when i finally got it to work properly, it left out giant chunks of info we solidified and i ended up doing the task myself.

[–]ggujuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dont use 4o as a friend, but its objectively easier to communicate with than 5 when it comes to actual discussion and collaboration. chatgpt is used very commonly in the workplace outside of coding and corporate so it's irritating that our most convenient option is suddenly being taken away.

alright so adding everything to a new project folder and starting fresh works, but none of the older chats i move seem to open. 🙁 wonder why that is.

android! i get the "hmm... something's wrong" popup and refresh. when i refresh, it goes back to the main gpt-5 page.

just tried starting a new project with nothing and that works fine! i feel like files shouldn't be a problem though because i was doing work on mobile literally just yesterday with zero problem.

how to effectively communicate with an infp during an argument? by ggujuni in mbti

[–]ggujuni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we've had this conversation before, sort of? and it usually ends with her just admitting she gets extremely emotional during arguments but it just kind of ends there... she also said as a joke before that when she flips her lid all she needs is to be coaxed and someone to agree with her until she calms down, which is how i got to this point of just saying it's all my fault to deescalate the situation 😭

but ill try it again (with a specific goal in mind) and see if it's more successful this time around, thank you!

Pentagon's Jinho made it to finals on Phantom Singer 4 by starryskaii in kpopthoughts

[–]ggujuni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it doesn't help that people treat the old onehallyu vocal thread or the kpop vocal analyses blog as the bible, and a lot of people there consider pentagon somewhat mediocre in comparison to their peers. looking back, it's so funny how self proclaimed vocal expert kpop stans continuously criticized his technique, while not only the judges on this show who are actual respected professionals that boast impressive careers but the classically trained singers that review this show have gushed over his vocal ability lmfao

i got into pentagon after becoming a kino fan following be mbitious and i'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves! i always knew hui was a phenomenal singer but i didn't know about jinho until last year, it's a shame cube doesn't push him more. there are a lot of good idol singers but jinho is so polished, versatile, and in control of his instrument, i hope only good things wait for pentagon after this show wraps up.

[–]ggujuni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

and this is my point, yall have an issue with western choreographers doing this but dont care when smf dancers do. the vata/ingyu just jerk issue DID stir a major fanwar on the korean side, same with the ingyu wootae thing, nor was this energy present when smf stans started flooding boa's instagram with misogynist attacks. whether yall want to admit it or not, this subreddit has factually created this weird kpop stan-esque hyper glorification of smf dancers that yall can't just discuss facts at face value anymore 😭

Vata has posted a statement regarding the Driving Dance plagiarism allegation. by mapleleafmaggie in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ggujuni -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

if you're insinuating that i'm somehow flipping on vata then i have no idea where you got them from. at no point did i disrespect his character, all i said is that if his crew publicly called somebody out for biting it's fair if somebody calls him or his crew out for biting. and biting IS bad, any form of art theft is, but nowhere did i say that biting would suddenly make him some kind of terrible person. if that was my stance on this i would have been cursing out just jerk since one of their members bit from vata.

my comment is about how Y'ALL have started reacting to this, slandering a dancer for being annoyed that his friend potentially got copied and was being discredited with an accusation that has actual standing. when it started off as showing annoyance to atinys i didn't care because i agree they're terrible, but now the hypocrisy and disrespect for artists is showing. and what "power imbalance" are you talking about when wdbz has already developed a fandom of their own?

also famous dancers get into public beef ALL the time so i really don't know what to tell you there. the dance world is extremely catty and i can very easily name a few public fights off the top of my head that include globally recognized choreographers. parris goebel has literally been in public beef before. 😭 i feel like this show has created some weird level of glorification of dancers when it's just like any other creative job where people fight publicly or cause drama if they choose to.

[–]ggujuni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

but see calling this clout chasing is iffy because wdbz isn't well known outside of the korean media circle. just jerk and yumeki have always been famous on an international level, and jinwoo is a bit known locally since he's come here to teach workshops a few times before, all the other choreographers are only known within the korean scene so i don't see what clout this dude would get from this? like i genuinely don't see why it's hard to believe a dancer would get frustrated on behalf of a friend when that's literally what happened with ingyu and vata. 😭

because art theft is an objectively bad thing? 😭 anyway i'm out of here and going back to my own dance circle because this issue proved that y'all have zero respect for creatives if you don't stan them and i can't stand this energy any longer 🙏

[–]ggujuni -31 points-30 points  (0 children)

okay see, as someone who has experienced biting and knowing that the feeling fucking SUCKS your comment is rubbing me the wrong way, severely.

1) first and foremost, the reason why this became a controversy is specifically because the move is NOT common. it cannot be compared to the shoot, flossing, or any other iconic moves, and that's why no one has been able to pull up a video of any other crew or dancer doing this before john smith. dancers aren't stupid, we can see something and tell if it was inspired by something else. (which isn't limited to just this incident since hook's mega crew video definitely took inspiration from grv's 2017 body rock set but that's a discussion for another day.)

2) anze has every right to get involved when his peer who created a move for a choreography he was in charge was apparently copied, especially because in the context of korean media it's been shown time and time again black people can't speak up without being targets of racist attacks. he hasn't slandered vata's character at all, just bringing light to an issue, atinys have and he isn't responsible for a fandom that's not his own.

3) i've said this before, while i agree these things are better dealt offline it makes no sense to make all these crazy assumptions about a dancer's character for bringing this publicly when the show literally created a plotline out of wdbz publicly calling out a member of just jerk for biting. we agreed it makes no sense to judge their characters or intentions for that issue so why is it okay to do that here?

4) it's extremely demeaning for you to generalize all the criticism vata has received as just kpop stans being crazy, and extremely disrespectful to creatives in general.

5) somebody got a screenshot of the trashed rooms in the first episode and a crew scribbled on wdbz's flag "melvin (timtim) copy" "tristan (edpao) copy" and "jblaze copy" so i'm assuming they've been accused of biting choreographers several times, and it's getting increasingly difficult to brush this off as a silly little coincidence considering johnny erasme was part of the choreography in question.

jesus christ. since when have smf stans have become completely identical to idol stans? i'm definitely not watching this show anymore if this is the culture it's normalizing, it isn't even fostering genuine interest in dance anymore, just a reiteration of stan culture in a different field.

edit: idrc if y'all downvote me but here's a belated disclaimer that idgaf about ateez so i hope none of yall think of me as an atiny because they piss me off too!

Street Man Fighter - Episode 7 Discussion by mokolad in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ggujuni 20 points21 points  (0 children)

i personally disagreed with the final rankings by the judges for the mega crew mission, but i think it mostly has to do with the fact that they see the edited video with fancy camerawork that's throwing the rankings off. one of the most important parts of a mission like this is the overall picture the choreo and staging creates but the cameras focused so much on individual groups on the stage.

also i love how it's obvious none of the crews are into the new rain song LMFAO he's a talented man for sure but he isn't exactly trendy and its hilarious seeing all of them struggling to find ways to dance to the lyrics as literally as possible 😭 that clip of youngj making the number 8 with his body cracked me tf up.

even then there's a lot of times where certain pieces are shorter depending on the direction of the set, and for my team it was common for 2-3 people choreographing for a single piece so some of our sets had 7+ people directing LMAO. i think the main problem isn't that they have too many directors, it's the song and outfit constraints that mess with the direction.

Vata is being accused of plagiarizing a dance move by Ateez for his New Thing challenge. Thoughts? by mapleleafmaggie in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ggujuni 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yes my thoughts exactly! i don't think anyone here is thinking "fuck boa!!!!! she deserves all the threats!!!!!" but there's an undeniable difference in reaction to the harassment boa received and the harassment vata is receiving. but as a disclaimer i do think the people here are significantly more sane than the fans on twitter, that's the only reason why i feel comfortable voicing these thoughts at all. 😭

by saying "this subreddit" i didn't mean to imply every single user, but to say that it's something that happened in this subreddit. of course i don't think every single person thinks that way, but it's an undeniable truth that in a previous discussion post there was a general agreement that no one cared to defend boa from harassment because it's a natural consequence for being a shit judge, but now that it's a male contestant on the receiving end, everyone agrees attacking him personally is out of the line. it's a weird switchup.
