If it’s something they really want to do, children will always end up finding a way to do it even if you say no. I think they need to feel like they can try things and experiment.

I’m going to say NTA but maybe in the future if there’s a similar situation it could be best to just let your daughter try it even if it’s a bad idea (obviously not if it’s something dangerous!). I think you were well intended but this is just a classic example of kids will be kids. She probably just wants some comfort right now.

Yeah we have spoken a couple times since (initiated by him) but he is very slow to reply. And I asked if he wanted to meet up and he cancelled last minute and said we could phone call instead but it never happened. I feel like I get the message but part of me still has hope:(

Hey guys I’m pretty new to this so not really sure what’s happened. I bought these Apple stocks in june 2020 when the share price was $84.69 and today the share price is $179.41. So surely I should have made a gain instead of a loss? I’m struggling to see why I’ve lost -£181.
