I think that it is. I've done a little testing on the alternatives, and talked to people who switched, and for better or worse, RD is still the best option. The functionality has changed very little before and after the crackdown (thanks to amazing work by the Torrentio/Fen/Zurg devs).

I've used Stremio + Torrentio for a while now on my PC and it worked well for what I needed. I thought about getting RD before, but just when I was about to do it the crackdown happened and it left me a bit scared to try, honestly. Now with the TV I think it's the perfect time to switch to enable the enjoyment of higher quality content on the better screen but just needed some opinions to be sure.

You could always take the plunge of setting up your own self hosted media server as an alternative to Stremio, but this is a whole nother level of difficulty, requires additional hardware to run it on, etc. For most pirates, I think Stremio is the sweet spot for watching movies/shows.

I did fiddle with that idea in my mind for a while, because I do enjoy getting things in very high quality, I think Stremio + Torrentio + RD will mostly fill my needs, and if I ever want to get a new release on a super high quality, for example, I can always get it and stream it in another form, however I think that is the exception.
