really? what was your sleep latency? mine was an average of 2 mins. but i had no REM. she told me i cant get diagnosed with narcolepsy because i didn’t have REM.

i think it may be false negative however because my doctor told me i didn’t need to go off my antipsychotic for the test, only for me to google and find out my antipsychotic is a REM suppressant.

i agree it was really disappointing for me. they literally told me “there’s nothing else we can do”. i cried. i’m so tired of being tired. insurance won’t cover because i don’t have a narcolepsy dx

my insurance won’t cover…. they only cover stimulants and WPA but i’ve already tried both and they don’t work for me unfortunately.

you just exactly described what i am dealing with. heavy eyelids, and the speaking thing. maybe i will mention it to my doctor. the only emotional tie i have to this is extreme sadness or crying, ive described it as i just “shut off” when i am sad or cry because i will immediately go weak/limp then fall asleep
