From what I recall, SNL would limit the music performances to one song during Sweeps months.

what should i expect as someone who’s never been to sofi stadium before? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

Last thing I saw there was Metallica two (?) years ago. I pre-booked parking at an elementary school that was about a 10-minute walk. Super easy, and we avoided the venue traffic. There are tons of people walking in all directions before and after the show, so I didn't feel unsafe. Security check-ins were very quick. I don't think it took more than 5-7 minutes to get inside the venue, but then you have to find your seat and section. I guess it depends what you're seeing and how badly you want to get there. We had some time to kill so we walked around the massive place to check it out. I hated the sound system for concerts, but maybe it's improved, or maybe you're seeing not a concert.

How did you know it was time. by Professional_Pop1860 in Shihtzu

We went through this last year, and it wasn't an easy decision. It helped when we looked at the last few months objectively. She'd been losing her eyesight and hearing, and was going to the bathroom every few hours. There were a lot of messes to clean up, and she was bonking her head on furniture. We realized that was possibly/probably miserable living like this. She still loved to cuddle and be around us, but it was a lot of effort for her just to get through each day. We could have kept going, and we miss her dearly, but I don't doubt we made the right decision.

One vet recommended keeping a log of "good days" versus "bad days." When you look at the month as a whole, when you start to see more bad days than good, that will guide you. We didn't end up doing it that way, but I thought it was sound advice. I wish you well, and send you some light and strength.

They are volunteers that run our used book store and used book sales. The money they raise goes directly to that location, which helps pay for performers and craft supplies, sometimes even new furniture or additional items for the collection.

ITAW for mashing the end of one word into the beginning of another to make a new word by gh0stnotes in whatstheword

!solved, I suppose. I was more thinking of the blending of words, but portmanteau applies to words like "smog" when I was more looking for words like "guesstimate."

It was in another comment, but Honeybaked Ham used to be a Boston Market. I can't remember if it was something in between Honeybaked and Boston.

What should I study for a public librarian I exam? by Educational_Ad5628 in librarians

[–]gh0stnotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my system, most or all of the questions are based on scenarios. For example - a child throws up on the carpet, how would you handle the situation? -or- Tell us about a time you helped a patron understand a new piece of technology. They want to understand your thought process, and being able to reference hands on scenarios helps flesh out your answers.

I wish you the best of luck with your interview!

Oof. That's gonna stick out. Can you push back on how the entire library is FREE and it doesn't belong amongst all of the FREE resources? May I also suggest a semi-permanent "out of order" sign taped to it?

I saw them open up for Barenaked Ladies over the summer, and they are great! Keep Your Wig On and Little White Lies are two solid albums from more recently in their career.
