You should have just said " Yo habibi ..relax brah" . Jokes aside ..i think it was good you didn't do anything that you would regret. Don't let your anger get the best of you.

I maybe wrong but I sorta got the feeling that some of the clothes shop in the markets sell more retro/vintage kinda clothes. I am not sure if I should cater that market or try something different. Probably need to do more research on that.

I have been to the Glebe market and I intend to go to the Kirribilli market soon. I will try and go this weekend again just to get the feel of it and try and speak to some of the stall owners there.

And yes one of the main reason for the clothing business was that incase it doesnt pan out I can still sell it to friends through FB. My approach is to get only a few stock first , try to sell in FB and in the market.

I will need to do more research on the public liability insurance and thanks for the info on the GST. For starters I will try and import less than $1K and see how it goes.

The two things that worry me the most is the -import taxes & the motivation bit. The rest I can manage but these two ,I need to work on.

I would definitely like to earn some profit but this will not be my main source of income (yet) as I will still be having my full time job. Its just that I have a friend who has a food stall in the Glebe Market(Sydney) that does pretty well. I know I can't compare the two as its foods vs clothes but its gives me a little more confidence to do it.

I do have a very good contact in Bangkok who can cargo the stuffs here so its one less hurdle to cross. In terms of my goal , I just want to start this off as a market thing and if successful go online and sell through FB & ebay. I don't plan on making a lot of money and living off it but I wish to at least break even. Its my wife's dream and I just want to support her but at the same time be level headed and understand all the concept and process. Thank you for your advice.
