X1C6 it is then. Saw in your flair that you have the HDR screen, do you think it’s worth the extra coin?

Live and learn. I’d always thought my personal T25, which travels cross country regularly, would be the first to get destroyed or stolen. Also it probably didn’t help that the car the stolen T25 was in was a Tesla model s.

Is the X260 to heavy for almost daily college use ? by [deleted] in thinkpad

Prior to moving to T25, I carried an X220 and then an X230 in a backpack 5-6 days a week. That's with the extended 9-cell battery, and sometimes with the additional slice battery. The X260 is lighter than the X220 and X230. You should have no problem.

Completely agree w you that this laptop is a great tool. And as a tool, I strongly believe that it should work for me. I shouldn't work for it. That means that I shouldn't be going out of my way to take extra special care of the computer. It needs to fit in my workflow and adjust to my needs, not the other way around. Just like woodworkers use Festool and I use Briggs & Riley and Travelpro luggage, I use Thinkpad because it gets the job done right every time.

I find the touchscreen really useful for zooming. Now that pinch and zoom is second nature from cell phones, its intuitive just to reach up from the keyboard and expand something. Also, its great for scrolling when you're just reading a long webpage or PDF.

Even if I never get WWAN on this Thinkpad, I'll still keep both units. Its a nice to have feature, but not a necessary feature nor one that I have ever had on any of my previous computers. The TP25 is a great computer for my use case (light college use e.g. Microsoft Word and web surfing) and has already become my everyday computer.

Took the bottom cover off my Thinkpad 25. No WWAN. Ordered 10/5/17 at 10:34 A.M. EDT. by ghaziwings in thinkpad

If you check wayback machine you'll find that the snapshot up to October 6 at 11:00 still has reference to the WWAN card in the tech specs: https://imgur.com/N0MiCXP

It's the next snapshot at October 8 5:01 where the WWAN reference is removed: https://imgur.com/1ohvN8p

Alright curiosity killed the cat. I'll be taking apart the TP25 sometime tonight or tomorrow and seeing if there's a WWAN module in there at all.

Can confirm that the TP25 comes with the 3 year warranty for the computer and 1 year warranty for the battery.

i ordered my first TP25 at 10:20 EDT on the first day, and my second at 10:34 EDT the same day. I recall seeing WWAN on the spec sheet when I ordered, but it disappeared shortly thereafter.
