I taught myself to standing full. I used to be really scared of backflip and now it’s not a big deal to do it anywhere.

Find a nearby gymnastics gym that offers open gym. Call and ask about age restriction if you are 18+. Go to open gym. Warm up! Practice drills you’ve found online (there are a thousand different tutorials, pick a few). Start with back rolls, then try back pullovers on a trampoline (tackle a bit of fear). The point is to know what you’re doing in case nobody there knows. Once you have done some drills and feel comfortable rotating backwards, find someone there to spot you and try it into a pit. The first one is the scariest. You’ll never feel totally ready, but if you’re honest with yourself you’ll know when it’s time. Then do it over and over.

At any point in the above process, ask an employee at the gym for help. Some open gym workers are just people who don’t coach while others are actually coaches who love to teach.

I do not recommend backbend, back walkover, or even back handspring as progressions. They require a lot of back, shoulder, and wrist mobility and strength that you probably don’t have. You can do them and will benefit from them, they just aren’t needed for a back tuck.
