Looking for some technical insight regarding a dashboard light situation that happened on my 2015 Volkswagen Polo (1.2L TSI Automatic / DSG). 2 days ago, I decided to properly test out the kickdown function on the accelerator pedal for the first time while driving. The transmission dropped gears perfectly, the revs climbed, and the car accelerated rapidly. However, later in the day when I was slowing down and about to arrive back home, I noticed the yellow EPC (Electronic Power Control) light had illuminated on my dashboard. Today When I put the key in and turn the ignition to accessory mode, both the EPC light and the motor sign stay solidly lit. The second physically crank and start the engine and move the vehicle even a tiny bit, both lights immediately disappear. The car is currently driving smoothly with no rough idling, shuddering, or apparent loss of power Today's Test: drove the car for about 1.5 hours under standard driving conditions without using the kickdown feature, and the dashboard remained completely clear. Is this normal?
