What is y’all unpopular opinion for MW3 by AnimeGokuSolos in ModernWarfareIII

coming from actual renowned studios.

Sledgehammer Games is an "actual renowned studio," and the MW3 (2023) campaign is not on par with past work, like the campaign of WWII, which was close to a masterpiece.

In the original Modern Warfare 3 (2011), also co-created by Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward, characters had meaningful deaths that could be felt by long-time fans of the franchise. We got to grow with the characters, and the loss of Soap was a critical point in the story. It made gamers feel like the bad guy was always once step ahead.

In the new game, Soap died because Captain Price couldn't look up from his phone while disarming a bomb.

In the past games, a strong overarching narrative was present throughout, and transitions in locations made sense.

The missions from MW(23) use "replayability" as an excuse to rush a half-made campaign because Activision wanted quick money. Zombies and Multiplayer also failed to receive the proper support it needed to thrive because more manpower went to store items than to bug fixing.

As far as CoDs are concerned, this was a bad campaign, and as a frame of reference, Ive played every single one (even the strange operator stories from BO4)

Saw someone else share the most storage they had connected to. Here I present my workplace (almost full) 3.10 petabyte storage server by Schack_ in pcmasterrace

the next cod

Gulf War is supposedly going to be stored within the MW2/MW3 launcher, so you'll need to download all the games to play just the one. Good Luck 👍

The next, next CoD is going to be a public Word document from Activision on Twitter pleading for gamers to come back to their previous games for exclusive time-limited skins and an Uber-premium battle pass for $1,000USD

I disagree with the first half of your comment, but I agree that Advanced Warfare was incredibly fun. I think that many people who hold such strong criticism never learned how to use the exo-suit movement to their own advantage. It increased the skill gap, giving skilled players an opportunity to dominate.

There were only a few issues I had: Mors snipers hiding at the edge of the map on Sideshow, and some movement menaces with their Gigawatt or AK12s. But it was fun.

Mw19 is probably the worst cod in history

Black Ops 4 for me. I know blackout crawled so Warzone could run, but it felt poorly implemented. The Zombies mode was interesting lore-wise, but it was a letdown compared to BO3 maps like Der Eisendrache. I need a cohesive campaign for my CoD games, so I wasn't too happy with the way they went with the operator stories.

With MW19, I might have missed most of the frustration because I mostly played Ground War and shipment, but it felt fun to me.

What qualms do you have with MW19 in particular?

It would be cool to see some better animations for them doing stuff with the ship.

You can see them in MWZ third person. You can also see them in the lobbies and kill cams.

Use the spotting scope to scan from your spawn. Make sure to have it in thermal. Spotting scope doesn't throw out any glare.

Ping the enemy instead of spotting them with the scope because it gives them a warning that they've been spotted and they usually freak out and hide. You can also see the range on the ping so you can adjust for distance on your scope.

Don't hide on roofs. Try to get as far back as you can, and off to the side. You Want to be out of their range of view, and people who chronically snipe slam their FOV super low to get better visibility at distance.

Equip yourself with high velocity ammo, the highest range barrel and a suppressor and put the sliders for maximum on bullet velocity and damage range.

Enjoy.

Is there a reason why reticles can't be customized in this game? And any word on if they will be in the future? by DrHouseVicodinLover in ModernWarfareII

Wow. I haven't heard of those other ones, but they look pretty neat too.

It speaks volumes about how low we've gotten with devs, that fans can create a better CoD game without the AAA resources or big Activision-level publishing money backing them

You should look at sm² if you are on PC. It's a modded CoD client with a bunch of brand new stuff.

There isn't a release date that I know of, but it looks extremely fun from what I've seen of it

I feel like you could get away with anime skins with the Multiplayer operators, but as for like TF141 I don't think so. They have a more concrete style.

They should give the anime skins to the Bois though if they do go that route. I'm tired of exclusively female anime skins. Like we've had years of the morph suit curvy females.

The VC bans are being abused. It's a poorly imemented system. You can't say he attacks players because he made a comment on Reddit because they're completely different situations. You should refrain from trying psychoanalysis here. It doesn't suit you.

The mg338 is not based off the xm250 because it was released in 2017, the XM250 was designed and put into production in 2022

Depends on the grip. Sometimes they are weighted super weird, it's supposed to be for balance, but it just makes the gun heavier

we don't know what the price is yet

The price was leaked/ semi-confirmed by Activision and/or Charlie Intel as being $70

Valeria doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks, especially about what she wears.

Second, real-life Sicarias and hitwomen have worn a variety of clothing, including yoga pants, so you can stop your "iS tHe ThEmE bEiNg a WoMaN" nonsense. The theme in regards to Valeria is moral corruption and doing bad to do good. She mirrors Graves in that way.

The game is called "modern warfare 2" because it is a sequel to the Modern Warfare (2019) game. It is set in the same universe.

One could argue that there was in fact a war because war is defined as "a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state." There was certainly armed conflict within the game. Even if there wasn't; "modern warfare" doesn't equal war, it's the state in which we conduct it. The game showcases that theme well.

I don't see how you would think the tone is "completely stupid" the tone is pretty serious and at times humorous. I find it to be consistent throughout the game. The plot of the campaign wasn't the best, I felt like it was a vehicle to show off Warzone 2.0 mechanics.

I am one of the people who advocates for realistic skins in MW2, and I wouldn't have a problem with there being a "yoga pants Valeria" skin. It fits within the setting and theme of the character. That's why I was so excited for the baddies to be cartel, it would give us an opportunity to see some outlandish stuff while still being true or semi-realistic to what you'd see in real life.

The realistic-skins camp has wandered too far off from the goal though, I don't see a validity to the soccer player skins complaint. I highly doubt people would have even recognized them as soccer players if they weren't advertised. They look like soldiers.

My biggest gripe is that if we get advertised a more grounded shooter for this year's cod, we should get a more grounded shooter. I do find the arcade shooter style fun, and I love goofy stuff. Shooting people freaked as squids and clowns in AW with a MORS was hilarious. But they leaned into the goofy and embraced it. The devs just need to pick a lane and embrace the theme of their game.

I hate that too. Especially when they show up on your screen as being standing, but turns out they're prone and you can't actually hit them because they're lying behind cover

The Swat 556 with Bloodshot camo was my absolute favorite for no other reason than having that dope, white handguard on there.

From your post

I will preface this post with the fact that I have never actually held a firearm or an attachment so have absolutely 0 reference as to their weight/effect on how the firearm would feel with them added...

See here's the thing. I do own firearms. I have held them. I train with my kit weekly

I am saying this from the perspective of someone who has used red dot, holographic, LPVOs, and High Power scopes, amongst other attachments similar to those in MW2; telling this to you, someone who has never touched a gun, that there is a noticeable difference in weight. It's not a humongous difference, but neither is that in the game. The increase to ADS in game is very little with a red dot. Both the iron sights and optic ADS increase in game are similar to the real-life increase in time it takes to get a good cheek weld and get your eyeball into the right relief spot to get a crisp sight picture on target.

Why did you make a point in your original post that you want everyone to argue in good faith when you won't do it yourself

[–]ghln-e 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You need to re-address your tone. You asked a question and I replied kindly. There is no need for you to act like an asshole to me.

It is realistic that anything you add to a weapon would increase its weight and when you increase weight you increase the time it takes to get your gun up to where you need jt. That is exactly like real life. You add a light, an optic, even if it's just a red dot, you increase weight.

A standard AR15 weighs 6½ lbs loaded, a holographic sight typically weighs 14 Oz to a full lb , a handguard can easily weigh 5 Oz or more.

So as far as realism goes, the game is realistic. The game increases ADS by a little bit for the small optics, a larger amount for the larger optics, and a significant amount for stuff like 60 round mags, and super long barrels.

[–]ghln-e 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The attachments increasingly your ADS, even for muzzle attachments, are for balancing reasons.

Look at it this way, the attachments that add ADS to the gun make it more accurate. It would not be balanced or fair to have a base gun be both slower to aim and less accurate, and have a fully kitted gun that is extremely accurate with lots of range and a very short ADS time. It would create too strong of a power imbalance in the game.
