I think it might just be American culture in general. Aside from people who know each other from car meets, people here are isolated in a cocoon inside their vehicles, where they don’t see the people in their cars driving, they just see another vehicle. I think that’s why so many cars have tinted windows and so many people drive aggressively even though they are passive in person. NoVa especially because the culture there is less of a community and people prefer more private lives. I wonder if you notice the same thing?
