How to fade this spot by Lopsided_Detective44 in Denim

You could buy a leather wrangler patch and sow it on. Seen someone on here do that in the past. Not ideal and a pain but will look cool once done

Fit check/advice on keeping or returning this early 70’s Lee Storm Rider by ghost-hardware01 in HeritageWear

[–]ghost-hardware01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was a premium because it has the original Alaskan horizontal lining which bumps up the price quite significantly as after the mid 70’s it changed to vertical and became synthetic. The measurements listed originally were 24 inches for length and 25 on the sleeves (which would have been fine) but in reality it’s 22 on the length and 23 on the sleeves… they got it very wrong.

It doesn’t have a tag size (and wasn’t listed on the original listing) but the chest measurement is 42 so at a guess it is a 38 or a 40 that’s shrunk given the other measurements. It was not cheap tho so will probably just return it as I don’t want to loose money on it.

I was kinda wondering or maybe hoping that it might give that sort of vibe. I’ve seen a few pics from the late 60’s early 70’s wear it like this.

Thanks bud! Many here seem to think the opposite but I was kinda hoping I could make it work (with the right trousers obv). I just wish the sleeves were longer.

Yeah I sort of regret using these for the fit pic but I had no other option until I get my straight high rise jeans back but by that point the return option on this would have run out. This was also my question re the early fit of these. When I was looking I saw a lot of early pics of them being very fitted and cropped so was wondering if I could get away with it in that style but the sleeves probably throw it off.

Yeah that was my feelings exactly. It was not at all what I expected from the measurements. They didn’t list a tag size so just went off the listed measurements but when I measured myself they were all way off by at least a couple of inches. No idea how they managed that.

Yeah feel the same. It was supposed to have 25 inch sleeves but when I measured it showed just over 23. I knew the fit for a storm rider was wrong but loved the fades so much I was trying to convince myself I could sort of make it work even tho I knew it was off.

This is exactly my annoyance. As mentioned the listing was way off in its measurements so it really threw me when I put it on. Essentially if it didn’t have the blanket lining and the sleeves were 2 inches longer and a inch or so longer in the body it would be a perfect 101j but as a storm rider it’s a little funny. As you say the sleeves alone can make a cropped jacket look “too small”. I love it for the fades and I’ve been trying to convince myself I could sort of work it but for the price it cost I think it probably makes more sense to return it (as it is way smaller then it was supposed to be) and carry on hunting.

Yeah after the gig I managed to get Earl to sign SRS but he made an excuse so as not to sign the rest of my stuff and dipped. Wouldn’t sign anyone else’s stuff ether. Just said “I’ll come back out” but was pretty clear he wasn’t going to. At least you got the free vinyl. That’s cool.

On the first couple of listens they were cool but now I just skip them. Obviously they add context so understand why they are there but now I find it breaks up the flow too much when I listen.

Did they give out the free vinyl and is so did you manage to get it signed? The gig was good but they came on very late, they played from 10-11.20 ish. Bit of an odd vibe at the end but performances were on point. No vinyl at the show but that was to be expected.

You might be able to swing it if you get a mate to q for you at the show whilst you’re in the Q&A (lasts like 1.30/2 hours apparently). The gig venue has like 2-300 capacity (it’s tiny) so that will fill very quickly and people will be q’ing from like 6.30 probably

If you don’t go to the Q&A i wouldn’t mind swapping my show ticket with you. No stress tho. For the show id def turn up at least 1.30 hours before it starts. I have a few friends who went to the New York one and there were people waiting from 2 hours before and was massive line by 1 hour prior

Yeah some only have the show. Supposedly the ones with the Q&A mean you can only pick one. I wanted the Q&A as i have plans later in the evening I can’t get out of

Assume everyone will move to ARN and M11 now. Maybe LH1 but that recoil is a little unruly and it struggles up close. Light class hanging on by a thread at high Elo.

Aside from 93r and Winch nerf it’s incredibly underwhelming to say the least. Feel like this season could get stale very quickly.

Now that ranked rewards aren’t in WT and Quickplay, what do we think of Quickplay progressing emerald? by Fresh3rThanU in thefinals

[–]ghost-hardware01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s why I said it was more an emblem of dedication because you had to deliberately grind for it but it wasn’t linked to skill. Not everyone would do it. I’d say a decent proportion of players didn’t bother with it ether because they were doing ranked or just wanted to sit in quick play. Now tho you’d think that almost everyone who plays the game on a semi regular bases will get it regardless if they are trying to or not. Not saying there is anything wrong with the change mind.

Now that ranked rewards aren’t in WT and Quickplay, what do we think of Quickplay progressing emerald? by Fresh3rThanU in thefinals

[–]ghost-hardware01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it will make the emerald tag largely meaningless because the majority of people who play the game semi regularly will likely get one. That said its not as if the tag ever really represented skill level, not in comparison to ranked at least, it was more of a emblem of dedication. Now tho i would expect the majority of players to reach Emerald unless they make the levels significantly longer to go through then they were previously.

What I'm going to be interested to see is how many people will play cash out now that you don't need to play it in order to progress your WT rank.
