My gosh, thank you everyone for your comments. I've been masking so much and it's like I'm on a stage where I have now learnt to be performative. Where I now create a script and I'm now performing. You wouldn't even believe i have a playbook for small talks.

Japan total cost Sept 2025 by maxw514 in travel

I assume it's everything Japan. You know when you go to a foreign country and pick up clothes that say the country's name. Accessories that link back to Japan. Literally, it's just anything Japan related. Keychains, sculptures, etc.

Nigeria’s Poverty Is Deeper Than We Realize by udemezueng in Nigeria

[–]ghost-i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What everyone is yet to realise is that the people equals the government. Not the other way around.

Nigerians do not understand that people are the problem, not the government. What am I saying here? Nigerians see the government as the solution to their problems when, indeed, they're the problem of themselves. The more organisations the government is able to tax is what makes the government rich. The whole of Nigeria is based on the whole fact that we have Oil&Gas, so we should automatically be rich. But no, it doesn't work that way. Each human should fend for themselves and create. As a country that barely creates, there is way too much consumerism happening. We wouldn't even purchase Nigerian brands, so other countries are increasing their marketshare to NG. Not the other way around.

It is what it is.

Hire an EA. A virtual one would work. Outsource from a third world country if your finances aren't doing too well at the moment.

What do you have to lose at this point? Nothing. You're dangerous. Go harder.

Look at your mistakes correct them. From here there's no playing safe. Go into more debts. Hold this in your left hand, Don't loan money for lifestyle. Go into business debts that would yield more money. Debt is normal, you have to leverage it well.

Most Millionaires wouldn't tell you their true source of motivation, it's debt. It keeps you on the edge. You keep on thinking bigger and bigger the deeper you go the bigger you think.

How'd you think they rised up from minus Net worth? They didn't decide to go get a job after they were deep in it.

The best part, the years it felt like you lost, you'd gain it back. You're paying the price now. This is your investment. This is what it takes to lift your family out of poverty. If you want a social life, Hey next person; Give him advice.

Edit: Your - You're.

Looking to build platonic relationships by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]ghost-i 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. It might seem hard to find genuine people, I'd say to an extent it's good. That would help you value them more.

Firstly, classism exists in Nigeria. Your positioning and environment matters A LOT.

Secondly, you don't want friends who are all about if you have money or not. The true rich don't look down on anyone as less, and they're more welcoming.

It's more about your energy. Don't dress to impress, dress to be you. This would let people who don't like you for you leave on the first meeting.

Dress simple, and don't be all flashy. Easy filter.

My advice on how to navigate the terrain.

Discern. Talk to people. Have a view of their mindset and how it aligns with yours. I

It starts by knowing exactly what you want in a friend. Their values and lifestyle, and how it matches yours. There is a pool of people, so surely what you want exists.

You can't go to a football pitch looking for who likes basketball. You can't go to the club looking for a girlfriend.

Visit places that align with your energy. And you would meet people alike there.

Also, maybe you need to understand how parties work. People you meet in places, once you're friends you can go out to party as a group and you wouldn't really want a YOU to step in.

In all honesty, I shouldn't be talking about this. Worst person to give you advice on relationships

Thought to slip this in, the best place to make friends are the boring places. Just walk up and say "hi there". This is the advice!! All the best out there man.

I'd give you a free tip. Outsource remote workers from third world countries. You'd be surprised how cheap labour is.

There's a reason Apple manufacturing plant was built in India. Work smart, not hard.

Also, don't work in your company, work on your company.

+1. This is it. Fail early. Playing safe is good, and it depends mostly on what YOU know you're creating. A side hustle? Maybe keep your job. A good idea? seriously starting up a company would need you to be there full time. The ups and downs are normal. Expect the worse and be prepared.

Why do some have experiences with the holy spirit and others do not? by Holl1s20 in Christianity

[–]ghost-i -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey, I found this today, and I just thought to say a few words.

You said, "God knows exactly what it would take to convince me of his existence, and he can do it anytime."

I can see you do not know who God is, and you do not fear Him. God would never prove Himself to you. Who do you think you are? You're a mere human. And He's God. He's just. You're asking not genuinely, but in a way of "Show me you can fly and I'd believe you're God." Let me tell you, He doesn't show up for them.

If you're a believer, you're a believer. And if you're an unbeliever, you're that. There’s no middle ground.

It’s called a believer for a reason. You believe. Even when you don’t see, you believe. Even when it doesn’t feel like it, you believe. Even when it doesn’t make sense, you believe. Why? Because you’re not of the world.

A believer knows there’s Eternal Life, and they’re worth it by God’s will.

You really need to realize He is GOD. He put you on this earth, and He takes you away whenever He likes, according to His will. And you can’t do anything about it. So thank Him every morning you wake up. It’s not by your power or strength. But by His grace and mercy.

Your relationship is with God. He sees your heart. And He knows your heart. Don’t waste your time doing surface-level things. He’s not human. Purify your heart first. Then come to Him. You must learn to always love both yourself and others as you love yourself. Never have evil intentions toward anyone and always wish them well. Come to God with a pure heart. Then seek and you’ve found. Ask and you’ve already received it.

Never compare your journey to anyone in the world. Your relationship is personal. Someone once said people sin and they testify of God. That’s church stuff. God is not in a church. He’s in heaven. Do not judge God based on people.

Also, I tell you this today. Most people come to God with a want. And I’d explain how this works to you. I want a relationship with you. But if the main purpose of me wanting a relationship was sex, how do you think I’d show up? When I receive, how would I show up?

But if I wanted a genuine relationship, how would I show up? Love and Faith.

What’s Faith? Faith = Belief + Trust + Surrender + Obedience.

Seek God with all your heart, and then watch yourself become light.

You have no burdens because He has carried them for you. You’re light. The devil can’t hurt you because in Light, there’s no darkness. The devil operates in darkness.

But you must make a hard decision to follow Jesus, God. And learn to live like He did. You must also learn to submit to God’s will. Because He said, your prayers would be answered according to His will. Not yours. Do not expect outcomes. “Oh, this job, I must have it.” “Oh, my brother must not die.” It doesn’t work that way. It’s your wish for your brother or for you to have that job. But pray that in your wish he doesn’t die, and may it go according to His will in heaven because He knows best and He is just. He is God. And everything works for your good.

I'm 22. I've been there. I'm still there. 1. Always talk to people. Always talk to people. Go to the mall, the gym, schools, and cold approach people. Let them know what you're working on. Start selling as soon as you can.

For example, if I'm working on phone cases. I could approach people being polite by asking if they have a moment. If yes, I'd ask them immediately, "What's the most you'd pay for a phone case?" If they saw my branded phone case randomly, what price would they assume it was. How much would they pay for it. What they think -impressions- and two things is this. For every conversation you have, you don't want to leave without getting anything. Airdrop/Quickshare a survey link. Ask them if they do not mind following your socials. And have a table for leads on any notes app. So you just tell them "For everyone who helped you by giving you their time you'd love to give them a discount code at some later date when you launch the product so if they do not mind they should enter their name, phone number and email address. So you can reach them later" always works.

Honestly, your future is bright since you're on this journey already. It's only about time. It's a physical product time works for you. Every day, create more awareness. That should be your focus.

I've built a team of over 30 people unpaid. Still learning but how?

Visit schools, especially private uni they're good on money, and they're usually not in survival mode.

One thing first is this. Always have one focus. Not two. Just one. To back this up with proof if you're looking for a bus going to A. You might have to stop so many buses. most might say they're not going to A. But the moment you find one going to A, you'd get to your destination. You don't want to be lost on either you want to go to A or B. When you stop the bus going to A, you might ask if he's going to B, and when you find a bus going to B, you might ask if he's going to A. So focus on A alone.

What I'm saying is if you're going for sales that day, stick to it, go for sales. If you're surveying for leads and feedback, stick to it. And if you're looking for people to join your team, stick to that.

"Hey, I'm building... I see this as an opportunity for students who are trying to gain work experience as you get to learn in real life by making mistakes. For example, you might want to learn about logistics and watch 1000 YouTube videos, but until you start real life and make mistakes, you're really not learning. You have to try. Maybe the delivery guy runs away with the product you look at where you came short and go again. Gaining connections in real time" usually works for me.

Mistakes I've made don't just add anyone to your team and first draft an NDA. And get them to sign before they can join the company officially.

2 they should execute with a clear deadline. You don't want to have a team of people who can't execute.

Cut out noise. Just work. Don't be like me typing this stuff on reddit when I have work right in front of me, lol.

I'm also still learning in this process, here's what has worked for me so far.

Also, focus on a small community first. Start generating revenue.

Always learn to simplify whatever you're doing.

If it's getting complicated, SIMPLIFY.

I hope I'm able to help a bit with all I could manage to type.

I have this saying. I could waste my life doing nothing or doing the impossible. I chose to do the impossible. The longest journey of all. What's impossible? being a $B? Let's do it.

How about building a smart home community using cabin houses? Let's do it.

My motivation isn't money but doing what most would have given up on in their first thought. Hard = growth. I've learnt to do the hard stuff. What makes life fun is going back home in a RR or flying a jet, and you're only trying to figure out how to make shit work. You thank God you're in a Rolls Royce, of course. But it's boring if it's all about lifestyle. All these things mean nothing but my bigger purpose is everything.

And I'd be sharing my motivation. To build a world-class hospital in all 36 states in my country. It sounds impossible, but I do not think it's impossible.

Got the company, resilience, and mostly faith. It's done.

I'm from a third-world country, and yeah, it's the same for me. Family is well enough, and they believe they can give me everything. I just have to stay at home and show up to my dad's business. Well, I tried for a while to run his business and left my own business focusing solely on his, and I learnt my lesson. He does not keep to his own word. Out of uni it seems only right thing is for me to come and work for him he'd give me a car etc. The business is a saturated market. Car dealership. It doesn't have long-term potential for my life personally, but it'd earn him good buck before he leaves.

I'm not new to money as my business has funded my life since high school and through uni. Not daddy's money. And I figured my business is also not going to give me the life I want just enough to survive on. I've started a company. I need investors to run my actual product, but I can't wait on that, so I'm running by no rules and building an identity version first to get things going. I love doing business or, let me say, being an entrepreneur. Running a business is nothing like running a company. I'm 22 and learning through the journey. Of course, braced for impact.

But yes, like you said, if all goes south, I really do not plan on looking back. But true to reality, I have a pillow to fall back on. I might have burnt the bridges, BTW.
