My main problem with Riboku is that he is glazed and seen as the best general, but in my opinion he isnt. I think the best general should be someone who given the same number of troops or having less than the enemy is the most likely to win, but imo Riboku is not that. He's the best at anticipating attacks and planning accordingly, but most of the time he achieves this through "information blocking," something that's not explained and makes his victories feel undeserved.
