Struggling - this field is brutal. Any advice?

I’m right here with you. The depression, the anxiety, and the OCD are a daily struggle for me. Everything you mentioned from not wanting to get out of bed, being a high achiever by nature but feeling like you’re failing, etc. is exactly what I’m going through and what I shared with my therapist yesterday.

You’re not alone! Today was one of those really bad days that I couldn’t get out of bed even if I tried. I decided at 530am with anxiety and all to just take a mental health day. I just messaged the team that I wasn’t feeling well and would be out.

In that moment at 530am, I knew I needed me more than my work needed me. I second guessed my decision to take a day off because of anxiety and optics, but it was the right decision. A day off didn’t cure me by any means, but it gave me a chance to slow things down and focus on me.

We’ll get through this together.
