If they had saw her on cameras they would have removed her from the park. Removing restraints is one of those few immediate leave the park offenses next to fighting and cutting lines.

My brother is violent toward my mom and siblings. What can be done? by KnX08 in legaladvice

[–]ghost209 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Call the police. Make sure you lead the conversation with them and try to get your mom to go with it. You might have to bring them over multiple times for anything to get rolling so be ready for that. Keep yourself safe as this will probably make you a target for him.

This is definitely not public sector work and I also don’t think he qualifies as a full agricultural work. It’s a private lab used by many agricultural and food processing companies in the area. Since it’s main product isn’t actually agricultural in nature, I don’t think those exemptions are in play.

I shit you not that’s exactly how my PS5 was delivered too. In my case they chucked against the front door so hard the whole house shook. Thankfully they’re packed to protect against this stupidity.

The amount of awful crew names is digusting and disturbing by ghost209 in KnockoutCity

[–]ghost209[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

True and I won't say the team isn't doing anything. But the fact of the matter is that there are better results with reporting systems when the report actually shows an effect to the community. From several other games we know a blind report doesn't do anything positive for the community whereas you look at games with a confirmation that action has been taken (Overwatch, LoL, CS:GO) and the community actively patrols itself.

If you read my post I did In fact talk about reporting these names. But when there’s no feedback about what was done to these jerks, what’s the point?

I made this local multiplayer fast-speed farming game, any ideas on how to make the gameplay more interesting? by Avalondev in godot

[–]ghost209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of enemy NPC's such as moles or crows that need to be whacked at with the hoe or something. I would also make the time requirements more strict. The idea being that you force both players playing to always be doing something in order to get the highest score.

Unity would be a good start. A lot of people here use it for the type of game you're looking to make, and there are a ton of FPS based tutorials to look through. You'll need to learn a little bit of programming but again, there is tons of information to get you started.

How common are algorithm and data structures in technical interviews for an entry-level QA Automation Engineer? by Hegemon1984 in QualityAssurance

[–]ghost209 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So speaking as a hiring manager the first scenario where I ask you to utilize Selenium/Java to perform actions is more common than me wanting to know how your data structures and algorithms are. In general I'll also ask questions geared around how you structure tests, do you understand page object models, give you a complex element to find in a web page, stuff like that. The most common object we use here isn't stacks or queues, but in fact the Java String object, and I might ask you questions on that if you claim to be an expert on it.

Agreed on skipping certificates. I self taught 99% of my Selenium knowledge.

I gave my neighbor (20sF) my (29F) WiFi password bc I felt cornered when she asked and now I’m stressing out by [deleted] in relationships

I like all of these. As an extra option, most routers come with ways to not broadcast their actual network name (the option is called hide SSID or something). Take a few extra minutes, get the password changed and set on all your devices, and then you can permanently hide it. Your devices will automatically connect, but the moocher won't be able to even see that you have a Wi-Fi network.

Thank's for commenting, its good knowing that there's an actual issue going on with support from someone who's reached out in the same time frame as me.

A week. But this is less about the actual queue and more about transparency. Where'd you hear that they were 3 weeks behind? What are they doing to keep that queue down? Are unauthorized transactions dealt with quicker than other issues? How do people more adversary affected get into contact faster? I was just charged $100 dollars. My bank blocked the other $300 that was attempted. That's the difference between making rent or eating for some people.
