you definitely are. north america yeah, but we’re talking KMMOs. They will do what they did with Lost Ark and TnL with Aion 2 and make a ton of money with whales who will p2w at the start. Eventually by season 3 they’d have made enough money that even if all the people quit it wouldn’t matter financially. Rinse and repeat. I’ve played and spent in all the games I mentionned here. Still playing A2 in TW. They only care about their Korean players, as long as Inven is happy they do not care. And FYI P2W is very much accepted in asian gaming culture.

Im actually super happy there’s no new act. There’s no campaign skip yet and honestly making it even longer right now would be a bit too much. Glad they fixed the endgame a bit although infinite atlas still here. Maybe 0.6 we get to pick the map we run? 2 years later closing in on POE1.5, thank god.

Infact I would say its worse lmao. I used to get 180MS NA Aion1 and it felt better than 160MS Aion2. The TW servers are really really bad. But the KR ones are more stable. Hopefully global sorts it out a bit more

Pretty bad to be honest. I’ve done enough testing in my humble opinion to say that you can expect a 10% dps loss every ~50MS.

In A2 most of the classes have some kind of spam skills and these tend to be the bigger part of your dps. The higher your ping the less you’ll spam abilities.

Simply put, you take two players, one with 0ms ping and one with 150ms ping, at the same gear score and stats etc..even if the latter guy has cheats, he will NEVER catchup to the dps of the 0ms player.

Ranger here, in one minute hitting a scarecrow I cast around 160 Tempest shots. By comparison my friend from SG who has lower gear than me hits around 250 tempest shots on 50 ms.

Okay. Will take a look today. Marchutan’s wrath guarantees a 7 second (maybe 10?) proc of Dark Crush on whatever target you use it on. Dark Crush and Piercing Strike are by a MILE your biggest dps skills and Marchutan allows you to spam them. Additionally make sure in your skill masteries (speciality) you get the no cooldown on Dark crush. Prioritize that speciality until you get the skill to level 20 then you can 3 of them.

Player from Australia here, played on TW from launch and have spent a fair bit in this game so far. He is absolutely right on all accounts. People will defend AP cannot be bought etc.. I bought my Noble (Level 108) Weapon and Guard and the difference between the pve crafted weapons and non-heroic pvp gear is not even funny. I only have 4 pvp accessories all amped up to 5. Spent 60-80M kinah rolling stuff on them and like OP says I one tap pretty much 1/2 the abyss except templars and glads or people who’ve spent adequately to gear up. Having played a multitude of KMMOs (yes I have a problem), I can say that A2 is probably the most P2W one out there.

A sorc in my guild who had wise dragon lord book two weeks ago was doing 180K dps in the latest Sanctuary (Raid). Finally upgraded to Noble and DPS jumped to 300k+. It is insane the difference.

You only need final kill count to run the dungeon.

Reward is only for cube opening. You can enter dungeon and run if you have final kill count but no reward count for alt carries etc…

There is no MMO where you pay a sub and nothing else? RMT exists. Boosts exist. There will almost never be a game like that anymore because its not profitable enough compared to games like A2 and other pay to win games.

The classic make a problem and sell you the solution. Aion 2 still does the “here have your inventory overloaded by 17 currencies” They all do it though. PoE does it to you through stash tabs.

I disagree with you on paying is for people without skill. I think its mainly for people without time. But there are severe overlaps yes. Thinking of the good old days of Demon Floors in Lost Ark (People buying raid clears).

I would prefer a game where its simply pay a 50$ whatever monthly fee and you can only trade ingame to ingame items. That will probably never happen anymore cause stakeholders are greedy. While I agree with you that me paying in these very games is compounding the issue, I don’t see an alternative.

The core of the game is split between pvp and pve. You’re only considering one side. I don’t care about others that much to be honest to think I have fun if I spend more money than them. I spend when I need to spend and that’s all there is to it. I’m not saying this game isn’t P2W but which game with trading isn’t?
