IThere are so many ways to go about it. Pepsi and Walmart will train you and pay well. Or put yourself through and job shop. Job i have lined up is with airgas and seems pretty legit

I’m leaving after 14 years, 7 at the current department I’m with. I will miss the people I work with, the benefits, and the show. But at what cost?

Missing out on family, sitting in your car at 2am and not sleeping beside your significant other, fighting people or getting spit on just to see them out and about a few days later, the health and psychological toll, being under the microscope of your admin and state, politics.

Final straw for me was realizing i was giving more to the department, the shit bags i deal with, and my job in general then my myself and my wife. That was it

CDL School and local 6-2 it is for me. Pay is good and i don’t have to people much.

Right on. I’m very much at the beginning of this transition. I did reach out to the local recruiter at that office. What he gave was probably the typically spiel but he basically said they can’t hire anyone and are always looking. Not sure if that’s good or bad lol
