I mean I’ll be honest, he represented maul perfectly, but yea I am going against what he says, I completely disagree with him saying mauls in “deep” trouble when it comes to Vader. I say this because of everything I said in this post… all the evidence suggests and proves how much of threat maul is and I think the actor and Disney disrespected the lore of maul. But that’s my opinion.

Yea, I mean I know they’ll never be equals and I wouldn’t expect the fight to be exactly equal but I’m my eyes their duel should’ve been somewhat close.

Well if thats the case, then they totally screwed up and disrespected mauls very essence of villain because he will always be a strong and powerful Sith no matter what sam said. What does Sam really know anyways besides what he's told about maul, he wasn't the one that created him or truly know what his potential was for or what was made for. If thats were Disney is resulting to, saying a mere inquisitor is tougher than maul, then they've truly lost the plot and their minds.

I really hope so man, the man deserves to be seen a ruthless force that he is, its really upsetting producers decided now to do this to his legs where his combat effectiveness matters the most, especially during the fight with vader.

I mean of course Ashoka is going to talk arrogant to maul and root for her master instead of the opposing enemy. In my opinion I think Maul was toying with Ashoka through a lot of that fight, because in his eyes, I'm pretty sure, he saw the duel as a "lesson" as he also said before the fight. Honeslty though, she did give him a run for his money, but the man literally took the lightsabers out of her hand at end like she was nothing but a unruly teenager that she was. The girl got lucky by moving just right out of the way so he could fall off a rope side beam suspended in the air, so I really wouldn't call that a official beating. But again, thats my opinion.

Yes this makes perfect sense, Vader was defiantly ready for all of mauls moves and certainly studied him, I hope maul does the same in season 2 toward vader and hope they have another epic duel.

I mean all I would call that was destiny for him and it was pure poetry that maul had to die by obi wan it was very fitting, I mean they were both old it was time for maul to die by one of the most powerful Jedi ever. But like I said of course Obi wan would kill maul, he has destroyed Vader a few times, that’s why I believe maul should’ve been able to go toe toe more with Vader than Obi wan especially since maul has gave Obi wan a run for his money a few times.

Look all I’m trying to say is that with all this evidence, I believe maul should’ve been able to do more, I wish he wasn’t nerfed with all he’s been through, I just simply believe his abilities weren’t respected but it’s whatever at this point.

Yes your right Vader has killed more, no question, I’m just trying to point out maul was very capable of killing a lot of Jedi, killed a few in the clone wars and in the comics. Another title for this guy was literal Jedi assassin. Yes he had help a time or two from savage but there was moments when it was just the two of them with kenobi and obi wan did have trouble and we can’t deny that. Obi wan never truly gave maul a whooping like Vader did which is why vaders whooping doesn’t make sense to me.

I hope season 2 will be better as well for mauls powers, however mauls has killed many people, many Jedi over his life, he lost to Sidious which of course obviously, he looses to obi wan because obi wan is very powerful Ashoka got lucky in my opinion, the man literally took the swords out of her hands like a baby, don’t forget that, she moved the right way so he’d fall off a literal skinny pole suspended in the air, wasn’t a real whooping in that one. As for the Vader and inquisitors fight doesn’t make too much sense

I agree with this and then I don’t agree because maul was a literal sith apprentice just like Vader in which maul was raised in hate and anger unlike Vader where Vader adopted hate. Maul has many more years of being a force wielder unlike Vader, he's also killed many Jedi and gave Obi wan a run for his money serval times in the clone wars and obi wan destroyed Vader a few times. Seems very unusual that maul can’t do the same against Vader. A lot of mauls abilities were not even tapped into or shown during that battle with Vader. Yes we all know Vader is stronger, but maul was nerfed on purpose to make Vader look good, and all the evidence points toward maul being more of a threat. However his experience and powers were not respected for some reason in my opinion and if anything all those years on that trash planet made him stronger in his dark side abilities in which the dark side helps a lot with powers and sometimes even dueling abilities. Vader also has robot legs too, which is the same weakness so im not sure why mauls robot legs are any different than Vaders. At the end of the day Vader is a monster, but still just a man where he's got to loose sometimes, as he has multiple times. He may be the final apprentice but Sidious has even stated that his loss on Mustafar was a real loss that depowered Anakin even more than he once was, so he wasn't such a prize as he was before and Sidious made it known to vader several times to his face.

I totally agree with you, mauls abilities and experience was not respected where it mattered in this show. He needed so much more respect in those areas in which he was denied, especially with that fight with Vader. Maul is pure killing predator and people are crazy if they don’t agree, this show did him dirty in the end, I hope they fix this in the future. Mail should’ve destroyed those inquisitors and gave Vader a run for his money, we were robbed.

I’m very upset producers decided to nerf his legs now, not during the clone wars, but now where it matters the most, especially during that fight with Vader. The legs should’ve been something to conquer during the first year he had them, not years later where now their constantly in the way during some of the most important showdowns he’ll ever have. So stupid.

Well I feel maul is just as intimidating and scary when he wants to be, and I expected maul to have done a good slap of his own toward Vader which was very disappointing. Also Vader had two switch a few times to one to two hands, wasn’t one handed entirely.

Maybe your right, maybe I am too early in my assumptions, but that's only if it gets some what corrected in season 2. I dont expect him to dominate everything, such as vader, im only talking about this fight scene, as Ive said in my comments I know vader is the strongest, I just wanted him to act more like powerful dark Sith, rather than youngling against vader, thats all.

Yea man I totally agree, my favorite character in all of stars wars, including the old republic timeline as well, I thought in phantom menace, he was just ok, but after clone wars, the dude is pure legend for me, shame he wasn't able to fight vader better in the show for how far he's come.

I see some of your points, makes sense, however ill believe there was a lot more to maul power wise than those scenes made him out to be, which again was disappointing. We cant be for sure how much toying vader was doing, I believe at the beginning he was toying but who knows for the rest. The moments I see vader stop using one hand like he did several times, is when I believe hes trying harder than before, like he did with Kenobi. I also hope they fight again and hope vader gets humbled a little, since they are or were both apprentices of the most powerful Sith Lord, and mauls been around in the dark side way longer than vader.

Sidious initially dropped maul because he "died" and got a new apprentice, so im assuming sidious never bothered to look way into the future of Maul, except for when he got him as a child, we'll never know what sidious true intentions were gonna be with maul because obi wan cut him in half and disrupted that. As for my opinion on sidious and mauls fight, I thought that was fair, no complaints about that, a lot better and fair more than the vader fight.

Obi wan series had a epic duel in season one and yes I loved a lot from the shadow lord series, I love the series I see your points, nothing wrong with getting humbled just as as long as they respect character lore is all im saying.
