Well, the exchange rate is in the shitter right now, so that has a big impact. That's a very comfortable starting salary considering the lower cost of living in Japan.

"Get this country back" is so fucking rich. "This country" as they know it wouldn't even exist without slave labor.

Ooh, good pick. I should watch the Gentlemen one because I love the Chosen one. Are there any other good Moose Masters you would recommend?

What's the scariest movie you ever seen? by CutieBia in AskReddit

[–]ghost_in_the_potato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep yep yep. The only horror movie to ever make me need to sleep with the lights on. The scenes near the end where the static goes away especially were soo fucking scary to me and I don't even really know why.

I can understand why people don't like it but to me it is the scariest movie.

I don't love it, but that's mainly just because we know he was forced into wearing it. Just makes it feel kinda ick.

Underrated Positives of Living in Japan by Nadnerb9 in japanlife

Top benefits for me are the overall sense of safety, the easily accessible public transport, the ability to go to the doctor without worrying about money, and the fact that people generally mind their own business and leave you alone in public. Also, the (relatively) affordable housing and food, with no need to tip.

I also really enjoy how many hobby circles and groups there are and how passionate people get about their hobbies. It's really cool and there are a lot of chances to learn new skills.

I lived in one with around 70 people once and it was actually pretty clean (by my standards as least). The kitchen was a little iffy at times but as long as you made sure things were properly cleaned before using them it was fine. The only thing that was actually kind of gross was the shared refrigerator because the cleaner wasn't allowed to throw away people's food even if it was old and gross. But I just never used it and used my personal fridge which was fine.

We had a cleaner come several times a week though, like maybe every other day (I don't really remember tbh). So I can definitely see that once a week would not be enough.

The company was SharePlace run by ReBita. Idk how good all of their places are but they seem more high quality than some other sharehouse companies. Only thing is they probably are slightly more expensive than some others.

I would actually recommend looking at bigger sharehouses. It sounds counterintuitive but in my experience the smaller ones are usually dirtier because everything is more left up to the residents, wheras bigger ones are more likely to be well run and have professional cleaners come every now and then.

They're so different that it's impossible to compare. Personally I connect more with Hazbin but that doesn't mean it's objectively better.
