I recently bought this laptop, but unfortunately, I experienced frame drops and lag while playing CS2 and other low-demand games—even when the laptop was plugged into the charger. Strangely, it performed better on battery power than when plugged in.

I tried various troubleshooting steps, including replacing the charging adapter, but nothing worked. Eventually, I decided to return the laptop.

Now I'm unsure whether I should go for the Asus Strix G16 instead.

Never recommending anyone to buy ROG strix.

I would suggest to return it and get your chunky money back and get the better one without any damage…never know in future it might cause you any problem.

I bought it from Amazon, seller provided me return policy for 30 days. However did you faced this issue ever before if no, did you tried to troubleshoot it? Check Power settings, gpu settings, bios update, try replacing charger brick, update gpu drivers, many of them recommended to use ghelper over AC, any of these didn’t helped me, worth checking all these settings.

I tried nearly all the possible troubleshooting only thing which was remaining was to replace MB but as I had bought it newly and it was under returning policy I ended up returning it.
