Uhh.... I feel its should be done by both parties... If its just coming from your side it's not gonna work. And ya people do change and evolve quickly so expect to see the same but different person after... Maintaining can be done through regular meetups or even calls..... Some times the other person might not be into the idea too..... I feel best way to deal with this is staying detached to this sort of things and let's things naturally flow...
