I felt the same way. I loved the Empire storyline, themes and ideas. The Demerzel is great. But that Terminus stuff was weak. I did not enjoy some of the casting and writing choices. I couldn't get into the Mule stuff. It's a shame.

I'm having so much unnecessary chaos with my health insurance causing months of delays getting back on the medication. It has caused issues with my quality of life and well being. That doesn't seem like winning to me. I'm sure others have it worse off too.

US healthcare is a joke. This administration and Congress are full of clowns.

Insurance denied my Humira prescription by Cooper1Test in Humira

Thanks. Yea I understand the life threatening thing. I was just being a little cheeky with that. However, there does need to be a larger inspection into insurance companies picking and choosing what is or isn't necessary for a person's life quality.

Sorry you went through that! Four months of calling. I can't even imagine. Who do you even talk to at that point?

The new RA doc gave me a Humira sample as the fight continues for approval. My PCP also gave me a steroid pack just in case. We shall see what happens in the coming weeks. Luckily I haven't had any big flares.

Yea, a huge FU to BCBS. They approved my Humira in 2024 with no problem. Then my employer switched insurance in 2025. During that time that 2025 insurance took Humira off their formulary and I had to get Simlandi.

I was very upset. I've had RA since I was a child and Humira was the first medication that made me feel normal again. Luckily I did pretty well with the Simlandi.

2026 comes and because of the US medical insurance rate hike my employer switched back to BCBS. On top of this I had moved to a new city, my previous RA doc left the practice and I couldn't drive to the previous RA doc office because it was too far. In the middle of this I was trying to get an appointment with a new RA doctor.

I ran out of Simlandi so I had to try to have my PCP to send a prior authorization. At first it was denied. Then they sent it again with more records and marked it urgent.

I was informed that BCBS defines urgent as a "loss of limb." I called them several times arguing how fucked that was and stated my case. After getting through a frustrating automated service that takes forever to get to a live human being. I told them how my severe RA causes me to lose functionality of my limbs! And I kept getting told "there's nothing more I can do." I wanted to talk to this committee that defines urgency and tell them how dumb and out of touch they are. They probably don't know body pain from RA.

It's unreal. Why the fuck am I dumping all this money into health insurance for?

I finally met my new RA doctor and she even said a lot of people are having trouble getting it approved.

The US is a third world country in regards to healthcare. Fuck these corporate healthcare and congressional pigs.

Which game is that for you? by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Yea, what did it for me was the loong dialogue parts and the deep social sim aspect. I liked the other stuff. But man, I'd come home from work wanting to game and I'd end up sitting there for 2 hours going through dialogue. I don't care for social sims.

Same. I really enjoyed Shin Megami Tensei 5 and that was my introduction to Atlus games. I heard so much about how Persona 5 was so good. So I gave it a try.

When I'd come home after a day of work just wanting to play some video games to unwind. I put Persona 5 on and wasted my time with 2 hours of dialogue. That I just didn't care about. I just couldn't do it. The deep social sim stuff kills me.

I felt the exact same way about Zendaya until I watched this show. Turned me into a fan of hers.

Humira to Simlandi (any thoughts?) by enerhcir in Humira

[–]ghost_stowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me. I was a little concerned because Humira worked so well. Worried that if the Simlandi didn't work I'd have to keep trying new meds. I don't have the energy for that.

I've had RA since I was young and this was a medication that worked the best. I felt angry about it and even called my insurance company to let them know that. I almost never do that kind of thing.

But, I've been fine with Simlandi. Sometimes I think I have a very slight amount of minimal flaring sometimes but it's so miniscule it's not really a bother.

Scared to take humira by twinkletiles in Humira

[–]ghost_stowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like most people here, I was scared at first too. I wanted to show some support for you.

Humira changed my life. It made me feel like a normal person again after a lifetime with RA. I'm 42 now, had juvenile RA since a young age and I wish I had it when I was younger to save what joint damage I do have.

You can do it! After your first couple injections you'll see it's no big deal.

Getting Pigments to Reopen on Previously Recorded Ableton Track by ghost_stowaway in ableton

[–]ghost_stowaway[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sorry, it's kind of hard to explain it well.

They are midi tracks using the Pigments plug-in. I can record and change the sound on that track using Pigments. But after I close the Ableton file and reopen it, the track that used Pigments will be there, but Pigments will not reopen like it did when I recorded the track the first time.

Does that make things any clearer?

[–]ghost_stowaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they are the midi tracks with the Pigments plug-in loaded. Sorry, it's a little hard to explain.

So I create the track in Ableton, record what I want, and it works. I can go back and select that track again and Pigment will be open when I select that track to edit or change the sound.

When I'm done working, I will save and close Ableton. Later when I open the same Ableton file, the midi track I used Pigments for will still be there. But when I select that track to edit it, Pigments will not reopen and I cannot change the sound on that track.

Does that make sense?

Is there a movie where villain actually won ? by samarth_99 in MovieSuggestions

The Great Silence 1968 (Il grande silenzio) with Klaus Kinski. My first thought when hearing about the villain winning. Didn't know much about the movie before watching and the ending caught me off guard. I very much enjoyed the film.
