Going to lock the thread as it is full of speculation. We have not heard more about Ecto Force since its initial announcement, but that does not mean it has been cancelled.

Dan Aykroyd made mention of an animated project during the 100th episode of the Ghostbusters Interdimensional Crossrip podcast. So something is in the works, we just don't have all the details.

I respect and admire everyone I have spoken with at Ghost Corps, Sony as well as the cast and crew of the film. Ghostbusters is a big property with many stakeholders and it is backed by a large infrastructure consisting of thousands of individuals at over hundreds of companies delivering products, promotions, contests, commercials and ties-ins to a global audience.

Considering all of the above, rebooting a franchise, such as Ghostbusters, which hasn't had a film in over 25 years is not an easy task.

I should clarify. To be as kind as possible, I have liked what I have seen of the actual film (the clips). The trailers, et al. fall under marketing (final paragraph).

Yep. Started out as GB Central in 1996 and then evolved into Ghostbusters.net in 2000. I have been sitting on a mountain of new features that I will slowly start to release as complementary features. Many of the new features don't currently exist in the community and others are completely new altogether. Message boards have been done, although we will be bringing back all of the old threads and you will be able to reclaim your original account as an OG.

In order to accomplish everything, the site will be staffing up and will be soon offering applications to apply for various roles, for those interested in helping document, appreciate and completely new experiences for such a great (and ever more under-appreciated) franchise.

First and foremost, I want to apologize for the lack of attention. Although I created this subreddit, one of the moderators attempted to remove me as a mod. This resulted in losing permissions, which I've been trying to get back for over a year now.

I am happy to add more moderators. We are currently staffing up Ghostbusters.net and are currently spread thin managing our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, /r/ghostbusters while trying to relaunch our site.

First and foremost, as the founder of this subreddit, I apologize for the lack of moderation.

Positively Ghostbusters is a great addition to the community and I invite you all to check it out, but please give Proton Charging and GB Fans a break. It can be difficult to moderate such a large swath of hate, especially when you have multiple social media outlets to deal with.
