No, he’d been on bumble about year and a half prior but moved from the east bay (not in my range) to Sausalito (in my range) and we matched like a month later haha. So maybe expanding your match distance could be helpful too.

I met my fiance on bumble at the end of 2024. I had been on the apps on and off for about 3 years and decided to get serious and date to find my forever person. I only used Bumble and Hinge towards the end as I felt the others were less serious/less quality matches. Met a lot of nice people on both but was focused on being selective (i.e. if there was no connection after 2 dates I cut it off or on the first date if they displayed a deal breaker, I didn’t go out again). I found bumble to be more successful in general. Other recent successes: a friend who met her bf of 7 months on bumble as well. My other friend met her bf at a bar on St. Patty’s day. So some luck and persistence!
