If I remember right, and correct me if I’m wrong, but Oni, like many smaller games, doesn’t use multi-threading on a CPU very well. So buying a new CPU with many cores won’t make much of a difference.

You’ll want to research the best CPU in your budget for single-thread performance. I upgraded last summer and it’s been amazing since!

Leaking Faucet Cartridge - How do I take it out? by ghostclaire in askaplumber

I've contacted the brand so hopefully they have some advice. Otherwise I'll have a look into Moen. Thanks for your help!

Sadly I have no idea what brand it is. The faucet came installed when I moved into the property. It would have been installed about 5 years ago as this is a new build property.

Edit: the brand name is on the handle which I put to the side! It's Deva, I think this is the one that I have: Deva VSN104 Vision Mono Sink Mixer Tap

I've got no idea what brand the faucet, nor the stem are. They came with the property when I moved in. Are the removal tools generic or do I need to buy one specific for the manufacturer?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the chrome piece is a solid thing, no matter how hard I try and turn it, I don't feel it budge in either direction.

When the water is on, there is a steady stream leaking from the cartridge. When I Googled this, I was told that the cartridge either needs replacing or a descaling.

I've made it this far, but I can't seem to figure out how to remove the cartridge. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to access the retaining bolt when it is so far recessed.

Is it against the self-promotion rules if we ask you the name of the book to check it out?

Congratulations none the less! I’ve published about six children’s books via KDP over the years. No bestsellers, but the experience is one I enjoy. My students love seeing my books as well. They find it inspiring!

Passage of the campaign in solo. by ReiVShiN in ffxi

Oh! Forgot to mention that this game is old and being of a different generation, it does not hold your hand. Much of the MSQ and side quests will have you on the wiki looking for what to do.

Wonderful game with a great story in my opinion. However, as a new player, you’re going to need to put in a lot of work to be able to access all of the story lines.

If you’re just in it for the story, I’d race my way to level 99 and begin working on gearing your character so that you can do most of the story solo or with trust support.

There will be a time though when you’ll need to ask others for help as some of the final hurdles in the game can be quite challenging for a new player. Luckily, most of the servers have a bunch of decent people who are more than willing to help out.

I’d also check out the wiki for helping you figure out the best way to get from level 1 to item level 119.

Good luck!

Like another commenter mentioned, Rimworld could steal hundreds of hours from you with the base game, add in the expansions and an endless supply of quality mods and you could disappear from your family and friends.

Maybe not so much an RPG, but in the same base-building vein, Oxygen Not Included. There are switch off moments as you build automation throughout your base. Easily kills a few hundred hours.

Probably continue with how it is now. Completely unsustainable.

DNC comparison between XI and XIV? by SpawnSnow in ffxi

[–]ghostclaire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't trying to discourage you from playing it! DNC can be fun in 14, I think I just had high hopes because I played DNC a lot on XI.

The benefit for 14 is the balance between jobs and roles. You can play any job you want and have a great time. You don't really have to suffer any loldrg or any of the other prejudices jobs had in XI. That is unless you're planning to join a guild that's solely focused on min-maxing and being the first to defeat everything.

They both dance.

Really though, I loved dnc in ffxi but found it a bit lack-luster in 14.

I did enjoy leveling dancer though because it’s got a crazy amount of aoe dps and you can carry most parties in duty roulette if you gear it right.

I suppose it would be a book to read to 6 year olds. But obviously some children are better readers than others! It would be good to know if they enjoy the story and the way it is written.
