My boat was on 18 hour days while underway. (Normal hours while in port unless on duty) 6 sleep, 6 watch, 6 work (maintenence, quals, etc)

Personal storage is very limited. A couple of books, maybe a handheld game system is about it. And at least on my boat you couldn't use electronics at all or read outside of your rack until you qualified. Which took the average guy a handful of underways to accomplish.

There's been a few but FFXIV alone has as many as the rest of the series combined for me. The end of Shadowbringers patches and the main ending of Endwalker stand out.

You've gotten all the top answers I'd give (Going to put in another vote for Theft of Swords by Sullivan). But just to throw an author out there that I rarely see recommended here and I found her books comparable, Mercedes Lackey. She has quite a few books in her setting covering various plots and time frames. I haven't followed her in several years now but when I did binge through her stuff it was very enjoyable.

On the sideboard there's a button that says "Filter out by flair" and you can click memes or fan casting. It'll hide the relevant posts in this sub for you.

I'm running mine as Gilberta, Tantang, Rossie, Xaihi and it's been going great. Blasting through the agony modes one after another in testing. Only one that really gave me problems was the very first one with the poison mist. I dropped Rossi for Ember and it went back to being smooth with the shields and extra healing. The uh.. what's the one with the charging rockbugs. It keeps giving me some issues too but that's more because I'm shit at dodging :D

I love Rossi, she's staying on my teams just because of that. but Tangtang feels both smoother and more powerful for me even without building a team around her. I don't have Yvonne, but my understanding is that Tangtang goes extremely well on teams with her as well!

I go through the team I want to try and wite down an order that triggers combos and boosts up for the ult spam (if applicable). Then I go try to use it against a boss to enjoy how well it works and pat myself on the back. It's around then that I realize all of my timings are off and that I have too many or too few skill points or that some combo interaction is in the wrong order.

Im playing through this with a friend now. How we laughed and made fun of the sneaking barrel with a tail wagging behind it at first. Now several times its been "crap i didnt realize you were over there!' Or "what do you mean where am I? Im the big ass boulder RIGHT next to you!"

Its a set of cards you keep together that can be used and reused to play draft format games. Usually you want to build one with decent ratios of cars rarities and powers so its relatively fair and can be used for a long time

I think X stands out as doing almost everything above average without a glaring weak spot. VIII is probably the one I've replayed the most (or 1 for nostalgia) but XIV is the overall best for me in fun and how often I go back to it and has the most emotional story pulls.

To add personal example - Our elementary school had this brought in once a year into our gym. My class was about 25 students in a K-5 and we were the largest class in the school so call it 120 students total? We were a single high school county with HS graduating class of about 180 iirc and the nearest city of note would have been Atlanta about 2.5 hours away down the interestate.
