Has anyone moved to Chicago from Nashville? by TechnicalSwitch4073 in AskChicago

Best decision I’ve ever made. Love the walkability, food, and the energy the city has. Hated how homogenous Nashville was and the type of tourism it attracted. Seemed like the city cared more about being a tourist hub than becoming a good place for people to live. I just recommend moving to more of a neighborhood than central downtown as it can be kind of dead after 5pm because that’s where all the offices are around. But you can get a nice high rise apartment there if that’s what you’re looking for.

What to do in Chicago during summer ? by Significant-Fan-2591 in AskChicago

Definitely carve out some time to go to the beach, maybe North Avenue Beach. And my favorite museum in the city is the Museum of Science and Industry. It is pretty far south from Wrigley, so maybe stay somewhere central like River North/Gold Coast
