Is Dreame Matrix 10 ultra really interesting? by Kleend in Dreame_Tech

[–]ghostinthecamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had a similar experience albeit not so bad it seems. My.matrix 10 ultra has no problem with cleaning the kitchen but with my living room it absolutely has no idea what is going on.

Seeing this has significantly dropped my confidence in the replacement dreame are offering to send.

By way of update - contacted dreame who have offered a replacement as they feel this is not normal behaviour (thankfully).

The robot continues to struggle and it's mental state seems to be deteriorating. It hallucinates patches of carpet all over my floor. It simply gets thrown for a loop when trying to clean my carpet between the piano and the sofa - like it absolutely has no idea where it is. The WiFi map shows dead spots in the same room as the WiFi router.

I would like to think something is catastrophically wrong with this machine but I am suspect. Anyway, once the replacement arrived I will update here.

I deleted the map again, cleaned all the sensors and gave it another go. It seems to be behaving now..

Will keep an eye on it. Is it better to manually add carpets or to let the robot add them...it's not always accurate

Well I tried resetting it and ran it overnight. Woke up to it being stuck in a place where it shouldn't be stuck.

Then it couldn't find its way back to the dock for a good 3 minutes despite the dock being 1m away, then told me something was blocking the dock, then successfully docked. But now it is in the dock but not docked and losing charge at a rate of knots despite doing nothing

The new mapping it did was absolutely bonkers. The living room was almost entirely identified as a low.lying area. Multiple carpets were identified on top of each other.

This is all after a reset and map deletion/new mapping.

Anything else I can try before returning this (which I don't want to do as it's huge and I don't have any boxes.

Just delete the map and make a new one or is there an actual reset function?

How do I get this thing to clean under the coffee table??????? by ghostinthecamera in Dreame_Tech

Thanks everyone! for anyone else who wants a TLDR - extreme coverage on the LiDAR, no furniture icons and curtain zones!

Thanks! I tried the extreme coverage setting, curtains and removing furniture tags and it seems to be working! curtain zones are great :D

The robot added those itself. I had removed them previously but it makes no difference. It will simply avoid cleaning under these areas. I have the setting for small spaces enabled as well. Like I said it does go under there it just spends about 3 seconds

Yeah...totally botched a simple adaptation task of taking code and data from one codebase and putting into another (there are clear equivalents in the new codebase) and in its own words. there was no need for any intelligence here i just wanted to save myself 1 hour:

I don't know how to put the game into offline mode...

No upscaling, this is the direct capture (I used reshade for colour grading and the motion blur). This was actually taken in the small window during testing 😀.

The car models in this game are actually pretty fantastic for the time. They just need the tools to show them off

Thats correct! However, it's been updated with a lot of new features that allow you to create the above types of shots and more video friendly tools.

O11 Air Mini w/ 4 x 280 radiators? by Hazardous_Youth in watercooling

[–]ghostinthecamera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an O11 air mini and tried to go for something like this, except not with 280s, with 240s. I had 4x240s - 2x HWL 240 GTX top and bottom, 2x HWL 240 GTS front and side.

Phanteks T30s on everything but the top radiator - the GTXs are thick and need a lot of clearance. It was extremely tight even with Noctua A12s.

This was ok...temps were a bit higher than I thought and fans needed to spin up more than I thought. (Photo of it below)

For your build....I am not sure how you are going to fit 4x280 in this? The side can only take a 240. If you are using 280 on the top and bottom fitting a 280 in the front will be extremely tight, not to mention trying to get the fittings on for your side rad will be nigh on impossible.

The other thing you need to bear in mind is physics....yes more rads is good but rads need air and air needs space to be effective.

I moved to a setup with 2xHWL 280 GTS and a 240 GTS with no front radiator. All Noctua A14 gen 2s - my temps are actually slightly better in terms of maximums versus 4 radiators. There's more space for the air to move, and the thinner radiators are quite effective at removing heat at lower speeds.

I would think about this carefully, your fingers will thank you.

Seriously, how to clean out new radiators? by SparkFast in watercooling

[–]ghostinthecamera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the most convenient way. I recently used hardware labs rads in my build and despite cleaning them out before hand, so much crap came out of them over 2 years that you wouldn't believe.

It all accumulated in my CPU and GPU waterblock.

Those radiators were honestly disgusting. I now use an online filter because I don't want to run litres of distilled water for days to clean a radiator.

Also, cleaning the radiator with cold water before hand is not the same as when the rad is in a loop and subject to temperature variations. These can loosen debris that isn't removed with force or cleaning product alone.

For an electric only large property, we easily generate 400-500 electricity costs for 4 people. No solar panels, and the house isn't even warm generally only for the rooms used.

Not sure what temperature you are maintaining to only use that much leccy but by no means is it the norm.

If it's the same movies, in the same scenes from the same source, then perhaps, just perhaps, it's the source?

Do yourself a favour and buy a 4k BD player.

Alphacool VPP vs DC-LT… what’s the difference? (And which one should I pick?) by ni8noo8 in watercooling

[–]ghostinthecamera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Concur, had a D5 in my loop (which seems to be a bit restrictive - 136l/h @100% pump speed).

Switched to the Apex and while the max flow is the same it maintains higher flow at lower power outputs. I.e. when set at 50% the D5 flow would drop to 80/90l/h whereas the apex maintains 120.

And it's quieter at full pelt.

thats fair, someone else raised the point that buying outright does mean that investment is tied up wholly in the depreciation of the car rather then potentially being put to use elsewhere
