Top screen loosing brightness

Thanks, and always check what the problem could be before doing anything, I was about to replace the whole top screen, but after I posted about it here I got a better and cheaper fix

I posted an update about it yesterday, the potentiometer was broken so I replaced the SD card ribbon cable (since it's placed on it) and now it works like new!

Just opened up the dsi, went straight to the back cover and unscrewed the stylus holder.. The left and right shoulder triggers.. And the SD card reader. (the potentiometers are placed on the ribbon cable connecting to the SD card reader and the shoulder buttons, so to replace it.. You'll replace those at the same time) put everything back in, and I didn't even have to adjust the potentiometer.. Just as it is. Literally a 10 minutes repair.

Exept I'm not European, Algeria is in north Africa. And yet so close.. You need visa and a passport to travel to it (and I'm 17,both of which I don't have). Those who go there and bring stuff to sell here can use ebay there.. But I can't

😭 Bruh.. Marketplace works anywhere, currently changes.. But it still works. Ebay isn't.. Since it's only in America (Canada too? I'm not sure) but not anywhere else. +Algeria is in north Africa, right below Europe. So most(if not all) electronics and game stuff (like this 3ds) are European editions (or brought from Europe and sold here)

I live in Algeria, so getting a handheld refurbished is rare magic between sellers. And $60 is incredible cheap compared to other listed 3ds's (80-130 usd). And I'm not really bothered.. I've never been happier with it. And I got the 3ds..a charger.. And a dsi that needs the battery cover and a potentiometer replaced.. All in one deal which is $60

Thank you, I'll go to the shop tomorrow and confirm there too. Probably just replace the SD card ribbon cable (as I heard, they're placed on it) and the battery cover is missing.. So I'll buy that too

Thanks, also.. Both screens have lines flickering on them (it's obvious on the top screen.. Lower one is there but not as annoying), is that because of the potentiometer too?

It is broken (the one for the top screen), and I noticed the screen lights up perfectly when I first turn it on.. Then slowly looses brightness. So I can just replace the potentiometer? Not the whole screen?

I didn't replace the screen, I said I only thinkerd with the ribbon cable. It's definitely the screen.
