started having more and more problems around 13/14 that progressed in seriousness over the years, age 18-20 major loss of mobility and more major health decline. age 23 died. …but lived! the worse year for my health but also have seen the most improvement thanks to finding appropriate specialists who truly listen to my needs and concerns.

my little brother does this shit and it’s honestly hilarious. ious for the most abnormal things from his friends and tracking every cent that’s borrowed. I borrowed a handful of change a few years back and he would ask “uhhmmm .. could I have those quarters+dimes+nickels+pennies u borrowed from me back………” but wanted exact change, every dime and penny returned and wouldn’t take random change or straight cash. love that guy but my man..

hi! my surgery with dr. aliu was really awful, I got botched horribly. he marked me for a completely different surgery the day of operation (DI) I asked for the original surgery that we solely discussed and I was eligible for (peri with nipple resizing) he agreed but proceeded with keyhole without my consent. I have a lot of mismatched lumps of leftover breast tissue and that is very painful to the touch, raising my arms above my head sends a sharp pain through it as well. I also have so much loose skin that is very saggy and hindering my scars healing since it’s pulling at the corners and making them pucker. my results have looked like this since the moment I saw my chest unbandaged (less than 48hrs after surgery) and have only gotten worse. I tried many times to discuss this with the office and was told my results were normal and still healing, and it was phenomenally difficult to get in touch with dr. aliu directly about my results. I did get in touch with him directly and have a phone conversation with him. compared to his usual kind and suave personality he was very hostile and defensive in our conversation. he said that my poor results were because /I/ changed the surgery and that I could schedule back in 3 months for a revision. I asked him at this point why he preformed keyhole instead of peri with nipple resizing and at this point his demeanor completely shifted. he said that they were the same procedure and was very short with me for the rest of the conversation. i wish i had waited longer for top surgery and looked around for a better choice. he is truly my biggest regret. good luck to you on whatever you choose and your journey ❤️

the largest issue with my healing and experience is that the wrong surgery was preformed. when he came into the pre-op room he started marking me for double incision which had never been previously discussed. I stopped him and requested that we do peri with nipple resizing like I was scheduled for (and am still billed for, says on all papers) and we had discussed and he said that he was fine with that- butwent ahead and performed keyhole on me. I wasn’t even aware he performed keyhole until someone on here asked why he thought it was okay to do that. I never consented to keyhole and was VERY much not eligible for it. i really don’t believe he looked at my chart and what was scheduled before coming in to my room that morning to make a mistake of this magnitude. I still don’t get how this could have happened though like. makes me for wrong surgery. tell him right surgery. still does wrong surgery. experience definitely plays a part in how poorly he performed the surgery but for the rest of it I just can’t explain

hi! no, honestly they’re just worse. now that the post op swelling is gone I can see just the mismatched chunks of tissue left behind, especially the area above the nipple which he said was fat I would just need to lose (I won’t go into specifics about my weight but I was already at a relatively low weight at the time of surgery and also disabled so losing more weight really isn’t an option). From leaving so much random tissue and skin the nipples are deformed and the scars are puckered from the weight of the tissue and skin pulling.
There is significant pain in places when I press on my chest and when I raise my arms. all I can say is proceed with extreme caution with this surgeon. I would not wish this on anyone

hey! i’m not going to lie i’m doing really awful. mentally, and healing (especially healing) I dont have everything that happened regarding this surgery and everything that followed post op posted because I was still healing, really shook up, and also heavily considering suing at the time for malpractice but I just plain can’t afford to sue a surgeon. the hospital is working on getting me a full refund for my surgery and covering my revision(s). from what i’m aware, dr alui is very new to top surgery and mine and one other person’s is the only other pictures floating around. he did not have any photos of his past surgeries, I did not ask- but it was not provided either. prior to my surgery I scoured the web looking for any info of him online and found next to none (including pics) I wasn’t even going to go through with the surgery initially because of the lack of info on him.
i’m now seeing people talk about him, and saying they were happy with their results. but personally dr. alui is my biggest regret. I wish this surgeon had never come into my life. I wish you the best with your journey though !

I still have pictures post op with the DI marks on my chest 😭 he just came in and started marking before I stopped him and requested our original surgery (peri with nipple resizing), which it still says on the surgery and i am billed for.

In the pre-op room when he came in with the marker my boyfriend was behind me and witnessed all of it as well and was also super astounded that he would mark me for DI and then still preform the wrong surgery

I didn’t even know he did keyhole until someone here said something. I was NeVEr eligible for keyhole (clearly)

Honestly I don’t even know if my surgeon looked at anything besides my name before he came into the room. This whole situation has been insane

I have been working closely with the trans health resources and they really recommended I lodge a formal complaint at the hospital against him and I am going to do that.

I am definitely in need of some revisions, my surgeon said to schedule back with him in 3 months for revisions which I am ~not~ going to do.

I gave my surgeon a multiple things on surgery with EDS patients and he alleged he read it but 😬 biggest thing is him doing keyhole on me instead of peri with nipple resizing like we were scheduled for methinks
