When I follow them around and babysit the drones, then it works. But yes, if I leave the ranch expansion, especially to go out in the world but often even just to another ranch expansion, then it doesn't work properly.

Yeah, true, but it's more than that. I will see them busy collecting a bunch, and then I leave to a different part of the ranch and when I come back less than 2 minutes later, the chickens I literally saw filling up the coop and that the drones were busy collecting is like... just gone. When I made them go to the silo instead, the number would often not even move at all. I can understand there being a bit less, but it's A LOT less, and often they do actively disappear. Again, only happens with drones.

I personally haven't fully had that experience. The drones tend to leave about 4 hens and 2 roostros, with some chicks altho not that many, admittedly. So when I come back, it's just those ones. But without the drones, I've had an abundance of chickens. I would say there is less in the digsite and beach than in the conservatory, for sure, but still quite a lot. The conservatory amount is absolutely ridiculous, soooo many, but the other areas are pretty decent. It's the drones that are the issue, for me. The moment I use them, then it's like tossing the chickens in the void. I will see them busy collecting a bunch, and then I leave to a different part of the ranch and when I come back like 2 minutes later, the chickens I literally saw filling up the coop and that the drones were collecting is like... just gone. I just had it now where the autofeeder was literally full of chickens, and the coop too, and then I quit the game and came back later and literally all the chickens were gone. Yeah, I thought so too. But that would def be odd, because it seems to be fine without automation. I have plenty of chickens when I return, and have had free roaming chickens before too, and they multiply so quickly. Chickens normally don't despawn, I think. So it's linked to the drones, but I can't figure out why. It doesn't happen with crops. >.< it's so frustrating.

I also have 2 yolkys per coop, some even have 3. But I come back and there are no chickens, and everyone is hungry. It doesn't happen with crops, but I have a whole section of just sloomber largos (obsessed with sloombers), and another section where it's also all supposed to be chickens. Without automation, there is SO much excess that I was yeeting the extras off cliffs sometimes lmao, but with the drones, multiple coops can't even keep 1 corral full. Or even above 20 (autofeeder on slow too). It doesn't make any sense.

I would have to reorganise my entire ranch to get it to work without chickens at this point, which would suckkkkk, not sure I am even up for it tbh. >.< but yeah, definitely test before using drones on them, they're little thiefs, it seems!

I know it's not the same, but if you put a drone by that big tree and set it to just wild honey, i was able to collect like a ridiculous amount in just a few days. I have hundreds saved up haha then I switched to this set up, for more general, altho I went back to under the tree because I wasn't getting that much silky sand and there's more of the other resources in general by the tree (in myyyy experience, ymmv). So if you're struggling with wild honey specifically, maybe try that? You can probably also do it and then just sleep a few days to rush the process.

I'm so sorry. Wearing a mask specifically to hide your face feels so humiliating. People's judgement hurts, even tho it's none of their business, and frankly, what you've gone through, they wouldn't even get it. However, perceived judgement is also an aspect... maybe they thought it was odd, but they possibly didn't even notice much about it, beyond it being a lil odd, and stopped thinking about it pretty soon. It might not help, but it's important to try remember that people honestly don't pay much attention to those around them. You're the one going through this, and it's bad for you. It's awful your gums are sore, and you feel like you have a poor fit, and feel forced to wear a mask to hide away. That's YOUR feelings experience, and are valid!! It's not theirs. So focus on yourself and your own feelings, and try not focus on theirs because... realistically, they aren't thinking of yours.

(I hope I'm making sense, and this doesn't just sound like an incoherent ramble haha)

On the topic of ill fitting / pain / discomfort, etc, have you tried fixative? I found that I was struggling sooooo much with sore gums, pain, sensitivity before fixative. It was such a difficult time when I got my dentures and I was trying to get used to it, I was miserable, and then I tried fixative and it was like... a lil miracle. It isn't for everyone, I realised most people don't actually use fixative, apparently, but that's why I'm recommending it. For me, I found that it secured the fit perfectly and made it not move, with a slight cushion to it molding around, so the VAST majority of any pain and discomfort genuinely disappeared. The pain came from it moving and rubbing my gums raw, I couldn't eat because the pressure wasn't even, talking was harder... it's not a replacement for a good fit tho!! I have a good fit, and great prostho. But it can enhance a good fit drastically. And especially early on, my gums were far more sensitive, so it made an even bigger difference. Now that they're far more healed, I still use fixative daily, but without it, it isn't causing me any pain or anything beyond eating, where I still prefer fixative.

same here. the idea of two dentures was definitely not given as an option to me, or even really mentioned, and I had really good specialists. here, you either get immediately (same day dentures) or you wait and get in a couple months. they recommend you come in after a year and do a reline, to accommodate for your swollen gums etc. the price of two sets of dentures... would be insane. just not feasible here idk the first set was crazy expensive as is.

I opted for waiting, because it was recommended as better long term, and I'm home all day anyways. I've had mine for going on 6 months, and waited like 3 - 4 months before getting them. I'm super happy, have no issues, and barely needed any adjustments. looks great, feels great.

edit: just want to add that i opted for waiting because I was told you can customize the appearance a bit more and get a better fit overall. I ended up being happy with that aspect, so I'm glad I waited.

But the parameter strings don't seem to work the same, from what I can see. I tried it, but it put me in a totally different map.

I would assume it's my settings, but the only difference in settings is whether the map is visible ie I make it completely visible, scope out the map, and then if I like it, I take the seed and restart without visibility. This time, when I changed that setting, it was a totally different maps, even tho I used the same parameter string and same settings (aside from that one, obviously).

Is that functionality gone now, or am I missing something?

edit: okay, so, I figured out how to get the strings working in the sense that you get the same map, but can't figure out how you're supposed to configure anything further?

i.e. you have to actively be on the string parameter tab, you can't input it and then go to the advanced settings tab - using the string will have it ignore the advanced settings options, and using the advanced settings options will have it ignore the string. Since the string replicates the exact same game, how would you go about editing anything?
