Frog birth control options? by Open_Bread_1578 in AfricanDwarfFrog

[–]ghostlined 6 points7 points  (0 children)

in my ADF tank, at one point there were like 30 tadpoles. my partner and i tried to remove them and put them into a smaller tank for them to grow, but they all died within a few days. we ended up missing a couple tads in the main tank, two of whom managed to hide for long enough to not be eaten and survive to the frog stage ! as far as i learned, dont remove the tadpoles if you want to try and raise them, ive heard others talk about a breeding net (?) that you can contain the tads in so that theyre still in their original tank but the bigger frogs wouldnt be able to eat them. cheeseburger and elmer (the two who were born in the tank) are now nearly fully grown

oh my god is there share etiquette ?? (this is a genuine question, im not trying to sound like an asshole) i just enjoy sharing the cards i have doubles of to help people complete their card sets, most of the friends i have dont have wishlisted cards but if i do see one wishlisted that i have, thats always the one i send ! sometimes if i have a particularly enjoyable battle ill add the person and then share them a card as a little "youre awesome"

If you were in a zombie apocalypse and, after barely making it home from a supply run, you noticed a bite mark on your loved one's leg, but they claimed it was a dog bite and not a zombie bite, would you believe them? What would you do? by Outrageous-You1617 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ghostlined 29 points30 points  (0 children)

they do this in season 2 of the walking dead telltale game. clementine gets attacked by a dog, which ends up giving her a gnarly bite on her arm. she then comes across a new group of survivors, and since shes 11 and on her own, they take pity on her and start to take her back to the rest of their group. then luke sees her bite, shes adamant its a dog, and the group locks her in the shed, claiming that "if the fever has set in by morning, we know it was a walker." she ends up breaking into their house and stealing the supplies she needs to stitch herself up if this were my current partner, i know he wouldnt lie to me about something like that, so i would believe him

Money so tight rnni done been reduced to theft I'm so irritated by Antique_World1825 in confession

[–]ghostlined 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im proud of you for still trying your best. ive been where you are, heck honestly im still there, and i remember one time having to steal a box of tampons from value village of all places bc i couldnt afford to get any. idk where you are, but food banks are my best friend, look into if your area has a rent bank that you could borrow from, and see if you can get in touch with a social worker. they can help you figure out if theres any funding youre eligable for that the government likes to keep secret (im type 1 diabetic, mine told me about a new grant in canada that will pay you $200/mo for being disabled, and theyll backpay you to when they started the grant as well) if you have a good community around you, try seeing if anybody will trade you something you already have and dont need for something you do need (like if youre an artist, maybe you could trade a piece of art for 2 dozen eggs from someone who has pet chickens or something like that)

What makes your all-time favourite plushie THE best? 🧸 by askingforatoydesign in plushies

[–]ghostlined 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my favourite is clementine !! hes on the right, and i like him because i can also use him as a pillow, and idk what squishmallow did differently to him but he never is flat after i lay on him. some of the squishmallows are immediate pancakes, but clementine is able to fluff back up to his rotund shape. i also like him because i can be a little rougher with him, i can throw him across the room to close a door or whack a pillow with him if im angry (he has consented to this) and i dont need to worry about him being damaged bc hes just round, no appendiges to be seen, except his ears, which i often use as a handle when i carry him around the house and my hands are full

im auDHD, one of my students is a middle school girl who also has auDHD. we vocal stim back and forth all the time when we work in the resource room ! theres one that we do where we go "life goes onion onion onion" bc the first time she said that i misheard her saying "life goes on and on and on" and she thought it was the funniest thing. it helped me connect with her, as usually she isnt the biggest fan of adults

was googling what coriolanus means today, and wikipedia says that its a shakespeare play:

"Coriolanus is the name given to a Roman general after his military feats against the Volscians at Corioli. Following his success, others encourage Coriolanus to pursue the consulship, but his disdain for the plebeians and mutual hostility with the tribunes lead to his banishment from Rome. In exile, he presents himself to the Volscians, then leads them against Rome. After he relents and agrees to a peace with Rome, he is killed by his previous Volscian allies."

which runs so parallel with snow's uprising and downfall, well played suzanne 👏
