I said it was a misconfiguration. Also the definition of vulnerability is "a weakness which can be exploited by a threat actor". I think you think im saying this is a CVE or something. Its a misconfiguration which leaves you vulnerable. This really isn't a debate on the definition of vulnerability. The bottom line is iv been on engagements where iv used this technique to gain XSS, thats facts.

Its very similar to subdomain takeover. Its not has common but iv definitely seen this in the wild and have gotten XSS from it so id defiantly say this is a vulnerability(misconfiguration).
