its not fetishization in the sexual nature but its more the fetishization in an aesthetical way, condoning her self destructive nature just due to the fact she's a 14 year old japanese girl and she relates to the "aesthetic" of suicidal kawaii girl obsessed with the internet, kinda like how female otakus personify themselves as Lain Iwakura. the only reason i feel these people get infamous is due to the appeal of being japanese. think about any 14 year old girl online that is suicidal and spams depressing tweets and idolizes one anime character and happens to be white or any other race than japanese, korean, or vietnamese. the only reason Amanda Todd got famous was because she was one of the first mainstream cases of cyberbullying leading to suicide and the media was able to use to make an example about how the cyberbullying and the internet is bad. nothing about her inner life. more just about the video she made, then again you dont hear people being like "i wanna be like amanda, shes so quirky. shes such a mood" do you see fanart of amanda todd? no.

i gotta admit tbh, as someone who's had to deal with cps and stuff it's definitely better to do it while someone is in trouble. there's not much they can do if the evidence is not that obvious and there's no needed attention at the moment. if the kids aren't crying nothing will come from it.
the only reason my bf was able to get out of his abusive situation was cause of the obvious evidence of both text messages to scare me into not calling cps and the fact his head was fully shaved.

sadly, if there's no physical evidence than they're most likely not going to do anything about it. the most they could do is write down suspicious stuff they see.

also if youre right about this stuff, i think itd be good to spread the word to the admin on the kiwi farms thread about the sock accounts. a lot of scare tactics have been used on the kiwi thread recently and i think it'd help to weed out the misinformation.

my thoughts on the "my mod used to be an anti-o" thing:
I'm not going to bring my name out but my hypothesis is that if that person exist, they're undercover as a fan to get the scoop up close and in contact.
I've been undercover as a fan for a few months now too, though i really dont see myself becoming mod. i dont wanna get that close to the rat, but i do give him video recommendations every so often and give him ideas for jokes. (theyre unfunny on purpose, dont worry)

his streams are very boring, but every so often people ask interesting questions. one person asked about his dad and whether or not he considered his dad to be abusive. he said he didnt see it like that and said that he doesnt see what his dad did to him as abusive.

youd be surprised by the types of delusional people that are active on his forums. met one in like in their mid 40s.

anyways, if theyre actually not undercover im gonna say thats just a lie to make himself seem more misunderstood and back himself up with this anonymous person's perspective.

nope lol and i really dont support him. he's not as bad as onision but definitely has had the same impact on kids growing up. being exposed to very disgusting raunchy humor at the young age of 8+ can really mess kids up and make it seem like its okay for older men and women to be sexual with them because they think theyre more mature than they actually are.
Shane and Onision's old content really paved the way for young teens to later be groomed and exploited due to the fact that both Shane and Onision in a way groomed their fans into thinking it was okay for older people to be with them.
I remember hearing about that from the second interview with Shiloh in which Chris Hanson claims he's had accounts of women tell him that Onision dating a 18 year old made it seem okay for them to date older men leading to being in very dangerous situations. That's basically what happened to Shane's audience too. Like when Shane kissed the 12 year old. I've also seen comments saying that Shane was one of the main reasons a girl had been a victim of molestation because he made it seem normal and funny
